WBG Pioneers, the World Bank Group’s Internship Program, offers undergraduate and postgraduate students a high impact learning experience at the heart of global development. Participants gain hands on experience in a diverse and dynamic environment, contribute fresh perspectives and innovative ideas, and connect with international professionals working to end poverty on a livable planet.

The World Bank Groups Corporate Procurement department is responsible for the acquisition of goods and services to support World Bank Group’s offices worldwide providing support to clients for all aspects of the acquisition process, including, competitive selection, contract negotiation, purchase order issuance, change order processing and contract administration. 

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide Operational support for Procurement Programs such as Order Management, Vendor Management and Service Desk.  
• Review and approve applications for registration of external vendors against control data (e.g. debarment, duplicates, conflict of interest, financial capability) to ensure all approved vendors meet the World Bank Group’s Vendor Eligibility requirements. 
• Perform quality review of incoming purchase requests and support documentation and process purchase orders for standard procurements. 
• Provide support and advise clients as requested for all procurement programs and conduct quality review of procurement services. 

Selection Criteria

• Ability to review, analyze, and validate documentation against established policies and control standards. 
• Strong attention to detail and quality assurance skills. 
• Ability to manage multiple requests efficiently and meet deadlines. 
• Strong client service orientation and communication skills. 
• Proficiency in standard office systems/tools.
