As part of the ICMPD Silk Routes region, the Project Officers contribute to the implementation of the EU-funded project “Support to Integrated Border Management in Pakistan."

Two Project Officers, one assigned to each of the project components, Strategic IBM and Professionalisation and Training, will support the effective implementation of the project by ensuring the technical and operational delivery of activities under their respective components.

Based in the field office in Islamabad and working under the overall supervision of the Project Manager, the Project Officers work closely with national authorities, project partners, service providers, and internal ICMPD colleagues to support the effective delivery of the project. The Project Officers may also contribute, as required, to related migration initiatives implemented by the region.

Proficiency in both English and Urdu is required.

The appointment is subject to the successful conclusion of the funding agreement with the donor.​
