  • Excellent analytical, research, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interest in international development, multilateral development banking, and institutional performance improvement.

Internship Objective

The Operations Quality, Policy & AI Intern will support the Operations Quality and Monitoring (OQM) Division in advancing operations quality management, operational policy development, digital transformation, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) adoption across the Operations Complex. The intern will contribute to enhancing quality assurance processes, operational policies and procedures, knowledge management, portfolio analytics, and business process improvement through innovative AI-enabled solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the design and enhancement of AI-enabled solutions to strengthen operations quality management, quality assurance, and business process improvement.
  • Assist in the review, development, updating, and dissemination of operational policies, directives, procedures, templates, and operational guidance.
  • Support quality assurance activities by assisting in quality reviews, readiness assessments, quality enhancement checklists, compliance monitoring, and the identification of recurring operational quality gaps.
  • Contribute to the development of AI-powered tools for policy search, document management, knowledge repositories, operational guidance, and lessons learned.
  • Assist in applying Generative AI to prepare, review, summarize, and enhance operational documents, quality assessment reports, presentations, policies, and knowledge products.
  • Support the development of portfolio dashboards, operational analytics, management reports, and AI-enabled insights to strengthen evidence-based decision-making.
  • Assist in analyzing operational data to identify trends, bottlenecks, quality issues, implementation challenges, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Support the automation and digitalization of operational workflows, quality assurance processes, and reporting mechanisms using AI and emerging technologies.
  • Conduct benchmarking and research on international good practices adopted by leading multilateral development banks in operations quality management, operational policies, AI, and digital transformation.
  • Assist in documenting business requirements, AI use cases, and digital transformation initiatives supporting the modernization of operations management.
  • Support organizational learning initiatives by developing knowledge products, operational guidance, AI prompt libraries, and training materials to promote the effective use of AI across the Operations Complex.
