Project Manager - Motion 30 (m-f-d)
The Scope
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager (m-f-d) who is passionate about sustainability and enjoys leading complex international projects in a collaborative, multicultural environment.
FSC International is launching a strategic initiative under Motion 30/2025 to assess and potentially implement a universal digital information and volume control system that strengthens the integrity of FSC claims, enhances supply chain transparency, and safeguards the FSC brand globally.
In this role, you will lead the coordination and delivery of a high-profile, multi-year strategic project. You will be responsible for driving the Assessment and Roadmap development, managing external consultants and cross-functional stakeholders, coordinating feasibility studies, and preparing recommendations for FSC's membership ahead of the 2028 General Assembly.
Success in this role requires exceptional project management, stakeholder engagement, communication, analytical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple complex workstreams simultaneously. While approximately 70% of your time will focus on Motion 30, you will also contribute to other strategic Integrity Innovation projects.

Main Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end planning, coordination, and delivery of the Motion 30 Assessment and Roadmap, ensuring successful delivery against the 2027 and 2030 milestones.
- Manage complex international projects, including project planning, governance, timelines, budgets, risks, dependencies, and reporting.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary internal teams, external consultants, and senior stakeholders across multiple functions and regions.
- Lead feasibility studies, impact assessments, legal and financial analyses, business case development, and evidence-based recommendations.
- Organize and facilitate stakeholder consultations with certificate holders, certification bodies, promotional license holders, network partners, and other external stakeholders.
- Prepare executive presentations, reports, and recommendations for FSC leadership and the FSC Membership.
- Collaborate closely with technical teams to translate technical concepts into business-focused recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.
- Ensure alignment across Integrity Innovations, Traceability, IT, Legal, and other business units.
- Support additional strategic projects within the Integrity Innovations Program as required.
- Drive continuous improvement of project management practices within the program.
Your profile
- Minimum 6 years of experience managing complex international, cross-functional projects.
- Proven experience delivering large-scale transformation, business change, or strategic projects.
- Strong experience coordinating multiple stakeholders across different departments, cultures, and organizational levels.
- Experience managing external vendors, consultants, or implementation partners.
- Demonstrated experience conducting or coordinating feasibility studies, impact assessments, cost analyses, or strategic roadmap initiatives.
- University degree in Business Administration, Sustainability, Political Science, Public Policy, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong project management methodology and governance experience.
- Excellent analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and risk management skills.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Fluency in English.
The following are considered strong advantages:
- Experience in sustainability, ESG, certification systems, or global supply chains.
- Experience with traceability systems, digital information systems, or supply chain transparency initiatives.
- Familiarity with FSC, EUDR, FSC Trace, certification systems, or similar regulatory environments.
- Previous consulting experience or experience leading enterprise-wide transformation programs.

The Fine Print
- Location: Bonn, Germany.
- Working Hours: Full time - 40 hours per week.
- Duration of Employment: Temporary contract - 2 years (extension possible, subject to satisfactory performance)
- Starting Date: As soon as possible.
- Travel: Sporadic (international) travel is required.
