Background/Organizational Context
The Digital Learning and Multimedia
Design Intern will support the design, development, and continuous enhancement
of Corporate Security’s digital learning and learning communications portfolio.
Working closely with the Global Security Training team, the intern will assist
in transforming subject matter expertise into high-quality, learner-centered
digital learning experiences and visual materials that strengthen staff
preparedness, promote learning opportunities, and enhance security awareness.
The intern will contribute to the
development of self-paced online courses, instructional videos, microlearning
modules, learning guides, preparedness guides, learning promotion materials,
visual communications, and other digital learning resources. This internship
offers hands-on experience in instructional design, multimedia production,
visual communications, learning technologies, and AI-enabled content
development within a global training program.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Digital Learning Design
and Development Support the design,
development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of digital learning
products, including self-paced online courses, microlearning modules, learning
guides, preparedness guides, and other digital learning resources.
2. Multimedia and Visual
Learning Promotion Assist in the creation and
editing of instructional videos, animations, graphics, presentations, and other
multimedia assets. Support the development of visual communications and
learning promotion materials to increase awareness of Corporate Security training
programs and learning opportunities.
3. Learning Content
Development Collaborate with subject
matter experts to transform technical and security-related content into
engaging, learner-centered digital learning experiences and visual
communications by applying instructional design and adult learning principles.
4. Quality Assurance and
Content Maintenance Support testing, quality
assurance, periodic updates, and maintenance of digital learning products to
ensure functionality, consistency, accessibility, and a high-quality learner
experience across learning platforms.
5. Innovation and
Continuous Improvement Research emerging trends,
technologies, and best practices in digital learning, multimedia production,
artificial intelligence, and learning technologies. Contribute ideas and
recommendations to support the continuous improvement of Corporate Security’s digital
learning portfolio.
Selection Criteria
•Candidates must be currently enrolled in, or in the final year of postgraduate (master’s) program in Instructional Design, Learning Experience Design (LXD), Educational Technology, •Digital Learning, Multimedia Design, Graphic Design, Digital or Visual Communications, Animation, Interactive Media, Game Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science (with an interest in learning technologies), Marketing, or another closely related field. •Candidates must have 0–6 years of relevant professional experience •Demonstrated interest in development work and the World Bank Group’s mission •Basic knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning methodologies. Working knowledge of Articulate Rise and basic HTML/CSS skills. •Familiarity with other e-learning authoring tools and multimedia development software (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, Figma, Vyond, Synthesia, or similar) is desirable. •Familiarity with AI-assisted content creation tools is considered an asset. •Demonstrated creativity and the ability to develop clear, engaging, and visually appealing digital learning and communication materials, with strong attention to detail. •Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills. •Effective written and verbal communication skills. •Ability to work effectively both in diverse, team-based environments and independently. •Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and assignments within tight deadlines •Proficiency in English; additional languages, particularly French or/and Spanish, is an advantage.
