Job Description

Under the overall supervision of the Head of Recruitment Unit and the direct supervision of the National Human Resource Officer, the successful candidate will be part of the global recruitment team (REC), supporting the unit in managing all recruitment tasks to ensure the efficiency of service delivery. The Recruitment Assistant will provide support in the recruitment process for both professional and general service categories.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support in the recruitment process, including posting vacancies, screening
    applications for minimum requirements, coordinating on budget availability, formulating prescreening
    questionnaire, scheduling interviews, and preparing routine correspondence to
    candidates.
  • Support the review of panel compositions for balance and diversity, and assign access for panel
    members and HR focal persons in the recruitment platform as instructed.
  • Assist in tagging candidates in the e-recruitment system, closing finalized requisitions, and
    notifying unsuccessful candidates.
  • Assist in initiating background check and verification requests.
  • Support the preparation of statistical reports by compiling and organizing data.
  • Assist in preparing and publishing recruitment-related content on official social media platforms,
    following established templates and guidelines.
  • Monitor and dispatch of basic queries received in the recruitment mailbox and social media
    channels, escalating complex issues to the supervisor or relevant team members.
  • Maintain and monitor recruitment trackers, candidate rosters, and social media content calendars
    as instructed.
  • Collect and compile data on recruitment and social media activities for reporting purposes.
  • Backstop other team members as required and perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

  • University degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Communications,
    or a related field from an accredited academic institution with two (2) years of relevant experience;
    or,
  • Completed High school / Secondary school education with four (4) years of relevant experience.

Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in recruitment operations and administrative support.
  • Experience working in an international organization is an advantage.

SKILLS

  • High level of computer literacy; experience with HR IT systems, applicant tracking systems is an
    advantage.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Client-service orientation.
