Development of technical content for the R/N Risk Profiling and Targeting Training Comprehensive technical training content for the Radiation and Nuclear (R/N) Risk Profiling and Targeting Training is developed, including training modules, presentations, practical exercises, case studies, participant materials, and any supporting documentation required for the effective delivery of the training programme. 2. Deliver and support R/N Risk Profiling and Targeting training exercise including submission of a report on the exercise in Malaysia The R/N Risk Profiling and Targeting Training is successfully delivered in Malaysia, including the facilitation of practical exercises and technical guidance to participants. A comprehensive post-training report summarizing the training activities, participant engagement, key findings, recommendations, and lessons learned is submitted upon completion of the exercise. 3. Deliver and support R/N Risk Profiling and Targeting training exercise including submission of a report on the exercise in Indonesia The R/N Risk Profiling and Targeting Training is successfully delivered in Indonesia, including the facilitation of practical exercises and technical guidance to participants. A comprehensive post-training report summarizing the training activities, participant engagement, key findings, recommendations, and lessons learned is submitted upon completion of the exercise.

Duties and Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision and regular liaison with the Programme Officer, the expert will perform the following tasks: 1. Provide technical input for R/N Risk Profiling and Targeting training slide decks, assessments and other training material covering awareness, identification, prevention, and response strategies. 2. Deliver and support R/N Risk Profiling and Targeting training exercise including submission of a report on the exercise in Malaysia 3. Deliver and support R/N Risk Profiling and Targeting training exercise including submission of a report on the exercise in Indonesia
Qualifications/special skills
An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in the fields of law, criminology, public administration, political science, international relations or related field is required. A first level university degree in similar fields in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. A minimum of 10 years’ relevant border management and law enforcement experience is required. Experience of training in an international environment with experience in training law enforcement officers required. Proven experience in use and deployment of risk profiling and targeting equipment is required. A broad understanding of the criminal networks in Asia and Africa is desirable. Strong interpersonal and communication skills including demonstrated tact in inter-cultural communication is desirable. Proven experience in dealing with national and regional counterparts from various cultural backgrounds is desirable. Previous work experience with the UN or other International Organizations is desirable. Experience working with international organizations in developing training modules/curriculum is desirable.
Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this post, fluency in oral and written English is required. Knowledge of another official United Nations language is an advantage.
