Introduction

The successful applicant will be requested to perform the following main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Support the Policy and Society sector with the implementation of the sector’s work programme.
  • Support activities related to the EUDA portfolio of resources and tools to support drug policy design and evaluation.
  • Support activities related to the development of the European cannabis policy toolkit.
  • Support the activities related to the analysis of prison and other criminal justice policies.
  • Support the POL sector with expert meetings, literature reviews, and outputs, including online content and scientific articles.

Eligibility requirements:

  • Be a national of one of the Member States of the European Union, Norway or Türkiye.
  • Have fulfilled any obligations imposed by the applicable laws concerning military service.
  • Be physically fit to perform the duties of the post.
  • Have completed the first cycle of a higher education course (university education) and obtained a full degree or its equivalent by the closing date for applications.
  • Have obtained the most recent higher education degree (graduate, postgraduate or doctoral) no more than three years before the deadline for applications.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of oral and written English.

General selection requirements:

  • Digital and technical curiosity.
  • Good command of Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, Outlook) and collaborative platforms (SharePoint, Teams).
  • Experience using AI or curiosity towards AI-enabled optimisation (not necessarily technical development, but applied use).

Profile-specific selection requirements:

  • A university degree in criminology, law, sociology, public health, political science, or a related field.
  • Solid understanding of methodological and research issues, particularly in social and policy research contexts.
  • Experience in data management and data analysis techniques.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing innovative tools and technology-based solutions.
  • Good knowledge of drug laws and broader drug policies.
  • Good knowledge of criminal justice policies, especially in relation to drug use.
