Substance use, harms and responses unit: Health and social responses sector traineeship (TR/2027/13)

Introduction

The successful applicant will be requested to perform the following main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Support the sector’s organisational activities, such as the Health and Social Responses meeting.
  • Collaborate in the development of the webinars, the Best Practice Portal and the Responses Guide.
  • Support the project management, organisational and technical implementation of ongoing projects, including evidence gap maps (EGMs), expert knowledge elicitation (EKE), and the awareness raising for drug-related issues project.
  • Participate in sector meetings, supporting preparation to representing the agency/sector at conferences and meetings, identifying their own project.

Eligibility requirements:

  • Be a national of one of the Member States of the European Union, Norway or Türkiye.
  • Have fulfilled any obligations imposed by the applicable laws concerning military service.
  • Be physically fit to perform the duties of the post.
  • Have completed the first cycle of a higher education course (university education) and obtained a full degree or its equivalent by the closing date for applications.
  • Have obtained the most recent higher education degree (graduate, postgraduate or doctoral) no more than three years before the deadline for applications.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of oral and written English.

General selection requirements:

Profile-specific selection requirements:

  • A university degree in public health, epidemiology, psychology, criminology, or sociology.
  • Understanding of public health, epidemiological and social science research methods.
  • Experience with literature reviews, systematic reviews and evidence synthesis methodologies.
  • Familiarity with research methods, including data collection, analysis and interpretation.
  • Experience with scientific databases (e.g. PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science).
