Field Reporter – West region

Our client in Libya implements a broad portfolio of programmes that support national priorities across governance, rule of law, climate action, economic recovery, local development, social cohesion, and resilience. Working in close partnership with national and local institutions, civil society, the private sector, and international partners, Our client  supports efforts to strengthen institutions, expand economic opportunities, improve service delivery, advance sustainable development, and promote inclusive, people-centred solutions across Libya.The reporter will be responsible for covering activities and events across Our client Libya's portfolio, producing compelling multimedia content that highlights programme results, captures human stories, and showcases the impact of Our client 's work in collaboration with government counterparts, development partners, and local communities.
Under the guidance of the Our client project managers and in coordination with the Our client Country Office communications team, a reporter is required to produce a series of human-interest stories, videos and take footage of projects activities underway in the West region of Libya. The reporter is expected to visit each site where work to document (written and video) stories on the ground and deliver stories and high-resolution photographs, video footage and video interviews at regular intervals to the team. The reporter will cover various locations

• Ensure at least fifteen high-quality (high resolution) professionally shot photographs to accompany each story.

• These photographs must depict locations and people who have benefitted from our work.

• The Field Writer is expected to work in close collaboration with Our client Project Manager and Communications Team. The number of days per assignment will be agreed with the Project Manager/ communications team

• Revise/ edit stories as per feedback received and finalize keeping in mind, global audiences for

• the stories.

This role requires no team management skills 

• Good knowledge of technical requirements and settings for taking photos in various settings (i.e., outdoor, indoor, portraits, group activities etc.) as well as performing interviews and managing shooting sessions are expected.

• Experience covering social, humanitarian and development subjects will be an asset.

• The candidate must have her own professional equipment including professional cameras, tripod, flash,

  computer, and internet connection.
