Job Description: Young Professional, Corporate Communications
Under the leadership and guidance of the Chief, Corporate Communications, and other experienced professionals, who will be assigned as mentors, the Young Professional will perform various functions within the Division as assigned. The position will be responsible for delivering the corporate communications strategies to internal and external stakeholders and implementing external communications campaigns to support the business objectives of the Bank. The incumbent will contact external audiences; develop networks inside and outside the Bank; and focus on various aspects of communications work. The incumbent will be also responsible for executing day-to-day administration, development and implementation of all aspects of the Bank’s presence in internet, social media and will also work on videos, papers etc. including maintaining the high quality of the Bank’s online content and publications.
Specific responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Participate in implementation of the Bank’s communications strategy by delivering its goals and objectives to various external and internal stakeholders such as Governments of member countries, state agencies and institutions, experts’ community, academia, professional and social associations in the member countries and in multilateral space, public agencies, etc.
- Ensure that the messages presented on social media’s accounts accurately reflect the Bank’s communications strategy.
- Create as a copywriter and edit materials that are to be published on behalf of the Bank in different media, traditional and electronic. Write articles, talking points, and elaborate messages according to the communications strategy under the guidance of the Chief, Corporate Communication.
- Manage the Bank’s official social media accounts, day-to-day present in social media, analyze the Bank’s mentions, track comments and monitor social media sites to gain a better understanding of external sentiment about the Bank.
- Provide support on social media strategy and usage, including development/recording of videos, drafting of content.
- Participate in the development and implementation of content of the Bank’s official website; maintain a large number of web pages.
- Contribute to the development of the Bank’s official website content including, but not limited to writing, editing, proofreading, and fact checking, duly update of the content.
- Maintain strong efficiency of the social media accounts ensuring its uninterrupted functioning by checking and eliminating fake accounts, taking effective prevent measures to avoid possible malfunctions.
- Participate in events, conferences, forums. Organize meetings with representatives of different media related to peer MDBs.
- Other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time.
Position Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of relevant full-time professional experience.
- Relevant experience in a multilateral development bank or equivalent, or a regulated private/public financial institution, or a large corporate enterprise, or an international communication agency or media enterprise.
- Ability to work under stringent deadlines and maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Fluency in written and verbal English with skills of creative writing and ability to edit text and verify grammar and spelling of news pieces.
- Knowledge of text and multimedia industry editing workflow is expected.
- Knowledge of Windows-based professional software used for photo, video and audio editing is expected.
- Relevant experience in a multi-cultural work environment fostering a climate of teamwork and collaboration.
- Master’s Degree or equivalent in a relevant professional field from a reputed university
