We are looking for a motivated professional to join our Aircraft Systems Branch as a Senior Technician (Fuselage).

In this role, you will be responsible for all maintenance production concerning pneudraulic systems, fuel systems, fuselage/landing gears and flight control systems as well as for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of aircraft, aircraft components and related equipment/tools. Additionally, you will contribute to determining/confirming aircraft serviceability status which directly impacts flight safety of E-3A aircraft and multiple aircrew members. For this role, you must possess good physical fitness and the ability to work in confined areas. This position requires comprehensive technical acumen regarding aircraft systems, strict adherence to safety and regulatory compliance, and collaborative engagement to cultivate a productive work environment. 

YOUR ROLE

In particular, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on a/c fuselage systems (pneudraulic, fuel, fuselage/landing gear and flight controls);

  • Performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, servicing, inspection, testing, modification, evaluation, repair, replacement and adjustment of a/c components and related support/test equipment and tools to include AGE basic servicing;

  • Performing inspections, leak checks and maintenance inside a/c integral tanks in accordance with applicable Technical Orders/instructions;

  • Maintaining inspection and maintenance records;

  • Supporting engine ground runs;

  • Performing a/c ground handling;

  • Performing acceptance and transfer inspections under guidance of Quality Control;

  • Inspecting, testing and certifying the condition of new parts stored at supply locations;

  • Providing technical information on assigned equipment, assisting debriefing experts and recommending methods to improve equipment performance and maintenance procedures;

  • Functioning as technical publications, Consolidated Tool Kit (CTK) and tool monitor;

  • Providing the Training Section inputs on training analysis, required level of learning and method of delivery related aspects while also supporting training courses as directed;

  • Conducting on-the-job training and advising newly assigned personnel;

  • Required to cross-train and qualify in all section assigned trades;

  • Operating motor vehicles, support and test equipment;

  • Performing dispatcher and general housekeeping duties.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential

  • Very good working knowledge of aircraft fuselage systems maintenance acquired through at least 3 years related, current professional experience;

  • Good working knowledge of interpreting technical publications and independently analysing and rectifying technical problems;

  • Higher Secondary education and completed intermediate vocational training in aircraft maintenance encompassing the mentioned aircraft fuselage systems, or Secondary education and completed appropriate advanced vocational training with at least 4 years post related, current professional experience;

  • Driving license equivalent to European Class B;

  • The work both oral and written, in this post and in this Headquarters as a whole, is conducted mainly in English therefore sufficient English proficiency is essential.

  • Adequate knowledge of Standard Automatic Data Processing (ADP) is required.

Desirable:

  • Previous NATO assignment;

  • Experience working in an international / military environment;

  • Experience in maintaining aircraft, or aircraft systems;

  • At least basic training in /knowledge of Disabled Aircraft Recovery (DAR).

  • Must remain flexible and reliable while when problems encountered are not covered by technical orders,

  • Ability to show tact and diplomacy appropriate to working in a multicultural environment;

  • Ability to ensure compliance of all safety related issues including, but not limited to, ground safety, occupational health and welfare of ground maintenance and support personnel;

  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and interpret and apply the provisions of technical orders/manuals.

YOUR TEAM

The Maintenance Production Squadron is responsible for the management of all short-term maintenance activities and executes all scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance. The Aircraft Systems Branch performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft systems and components for aircraft fuselage, control surfaces, pneudraulic, fuel, electrics and environmental control systems, engines and auxiliary power units (APU) at the Main Operating Base (MOB) and deployed locations. The Fuselage Section performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft systems and system components for aircraft fuselage, control surfaces, fuel systems and pneudraulic systems at MOB and deployed locations.

CONTRACT

Serving civilian members of NATO will be offered a contract in accordance with the NATO Civilian Personnel Regulations. Newly recruited staff will be initially offered a definite duration contract of three years. Thereafter, an indefinite duration contract might be offered.
