Job Description: Junior Professional, Loan and Treasury Back Office

The Loan and Treasury Back Office division, under the Finance, Budget and Accounting unit, is functionally responsible for all loan disbursement activities and treasury activities of the Bank. The Loan and Treasury Back Office division leads in the execution and processing of disbursement, debt servicing, settlements, and payment transactions critical to ensuring the overall financial operations of NDB.

Reporting to Chief, Loan and Treasury Back Office.  The Junior Professional, Loan and Treasury Back Office has the overall responsibility for the day-to-day data management of loan, treasury back-office and settlement activities of NDB. Advice on evolving approaches and adapting to emerging trends in business intelligence is central to the provision of responsive services and enhanced data-driven decision making critical to the institution.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Support the development and maintenance of data models, dashboards or other visualizations and reports of loan management, metrics and financial performance for relevant stakeholders.
  • Assist in analyzing current workflows and help identify opportunities for process optimization and automation
  • Collaborate with the IT department and other stakeholders to gather requirements, support the development and testing of new functionality, enhancement and system update.
  • Understand stakeholders’ needs and translate business requirements into BI or other IT solutions.
  • Support efforts to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of loan data and other relevant data.
  • Support internal coordination and research on international financial institutions (IFIs) practices and financial reporting approaches, as required.
  • Support loan and treasury back office and financial controlling team by providing timely data insights and reports.
  • Assist in IT and data-related projects.

  • Experience with financial data and understanding of loan management processes

  • Ability to work with large datasets and ensure data accuracy.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with both business users and IT specialists.
  • Translate raw data into meaningful narratives that support strategic decision-making, explaining the "why" behind the numbers.
  • Work closely with teams such as IT and risk management to align on data needs, share insights, and drive improvements
  • Maintain a high standard of accuracy when working with large datasets, ensuring data integrity in reporting and analytics.
  • Meet consistently the expected delivery standards on timing.
  • Meet consistently expected delivery standards in terms of quality/relevance.

Position requirements

  • Master’s Degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Data Science or a related field / Chartered Accountant / Certified Public Accountant with Finance as a specialization.
  • Minimum one year of relevant work experience is preferred. Candidates with less than one-year work experience, and Fresh Graduates who have obtained education degrees, as required by NDB, could also be considered.
  • Experience in BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar;
  • Exposure to AI techniques applied to finance.
  • Familiarity with banking operations and core banking platforms.
  • Fluency in English essential to communicate in writing and speaking.
