BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:

Progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) continues to be constrained by persistent inequalities, gender disparities, limited institutional capacities, climate change impacts, and increasing food security risks.

Effective information management is essential to support evidence-based decision-making, programme implementation, emergency response, donor accountability and inter-agency coordination. PMCO requires strong information management capacity to consolidate data from multiple programme portfolios, maintain information systems and reporting platforms, develop analytical products, and support regional coordination mechanisms, including the Regional Pacific Food Security Cluster (rPFSC) and Pacific Regional Cash Working Group (PRCWG).

The Programme and Policy Officer (Information Management) will support the development and maintenance of Programme Unit information systems and information products, facilitate programme reporting and data analysis and provide dedicated information management support to the Regional Pacific Food Security Cluster (rPFSC) and Pacific Regional Cash Working Group (PRCWG).
