About WorkInCharities.co.uk

WorkInCharities.co.uk is dedicated to connecting purpose-driven job seekers with meaningful career opportunities across the UK’s non-profit and charity sectors. From grassroots NGOs to national non-profits, we simplify the recruitment process for charities while helping candidates find roles where they can make a real societal impact.

We’ve built the foundation—now we’re looking for an entrepreneurial, vision-driven Marketing Co-founder to lead our growth strategy, build our brand footprint, and scale our impact nationwide.

The Role

As our Marketing Co-founder, you won’t just execute marketing campaigns—you will shape the vision, narrative, and trajectory of the business. You will take complete ownership of user acquisition, strategic partnerships, brand positioning, and candidate/employer engagement.

If you are a growth-minded marketer who wants to combine tech-enabled business growth with genuine social good, this is your canvas.

What You’ll Do

  • Growth & Acquisition: Design and execute multi-channel growth strategies to acquire both job seekers (B2C) and charity employers (B2B).

  • Brand Strategy & Positioning: Define and amplify the WorkInCharities voice across SEO, content marketing, social channels, and public relations.

  • B2B Outreach & Partnerships: Build direct marketing campaigns targeting non-profit HR teams, charity executives, and sector leaders to drive job listings.

  • Content & Community: Establish WorkInCharities as a go-to resource for charity careers through insightful reports, advice content, and candidate community building.

  • Product & Conversion Optimization: Work closely with the tech team to analyze user behavior, optimize landing page conversion rates, and improve the user journey for job seekers and employers.

  • Strategic Leadership: Collaborate as an equal partner on long-term strategy, monetization models, fundraising (if applicable), and scaling operations.

Who You Are

  • Purpose-Driven Marketer: You are genuinely passionate about the UK charity, non-profit, and social impact landscape.

  • Hands-on Entrepreneur: You thrive in an early-stage environment. You’re comfortable testing hypotheses, building campaigns from scratch, and executing before delegating.

  • Full-Funnel Expertise: Strong foundation in digital marketing—SEO, content strategy, email automation, performance marketing (PPC/Paid Social), and B2B lead generation.

  • Data-Informed: You make decisions backed by metrics, CAC/LTV calculations, conversion analytics, and user feedback.

  • Storyteller & Networker: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build immediate trust with charity sector leaders and job seekers alike.

What’s in It for You?

  • Significant Equity Stake: True co-founder equity with a clear path to executive compensation as revenue milestones are met.

  • Total Autonomy: Direct influence over company direction, culture, and strategy without corporate red tape.

  • Flexible Working: 100% remote or hybrid flexibility with total control over your working style.

  • Impact-First Work: Build a business where every growth milestone directly translates to helping people find purpose-driven careers and aiding charities in finding talent.
