WFP Lebanon provides cash assistance to Syrian refugees and in-kind assistance to vulnerable Lebanese, while supporting the Government in strengthening social safety nets. WFP supports resilience-building activities, and its school meals programme improves nutrition and school attendance. Since October 2023, WFP has provided food and cash assistance to people affected by the conflict and has scaled up its food assistance including the distribution of daily meals following the recent escalation.

Duration: Six (6) Months (Renewable based on availability of funds, business needs and performance).

The incumbent is expected to provide services on a when actually employed basis. This is expected to result in approximately 15 to 17 days on average per month throughout the consultancy assignment period.

Job Purpose:

To drive the planning, development and production of high-quality multimedia content and integrated storytelling campaigns that strengthen WFP Lebanon's visibility, advocacy, donor recognition and public engagement. The role is responsible for identifying compelling stories across WFP operations, transforming programme results into impactful visual narratives, and producing creative multimedia products that support digital communications, media engagement, donor visibility and corporate communications in line with WFP standards.

Key Responsibilities (not all-inclusive, nor exhaustive):

Within delegated authority and under the direct supervision of the Communications Officer, the Multimedia Content Producer will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Develop and implement multimedia storytelling concepts and campaigns that support WFP Lebanon's communications, advocacy and donor visibility objectives.
  • Produce high-quality multimedia content, including video, photography, graphics and other visual assets for digital, media, donor and internal communications.
  • Support in identifying and developing compelling stories and communication opportunities in collaboration with programme units, field offices and partners.
  • Plan and deliver multimedia field missions to document WFP operations, programme results, donor support and high-level visits.
  • Support the planning and delivery of communication activities for key events, campaigns and institutional milestones, ensuring effective multimedia coverage from concept development through implementation and post-event communications.
  • Edit and package multimedia content for a range of audiences and communication platforms, ensuring consistency with WFP branding and messaging.
  • Propose innovative storytelling approaches and creative content initiatives to strengthen WFP Lebanon's visibility and audience engagement.
  • Support media engagement by producing multimedia assets and coordinating visual coverage of events and official visits.
  • Coordinate multimedia assignments with external service providers and ensure quality standards are maintained when needed.
  • Manage WFP Lebanon's multimedia archive, ensuring all assets are properly captioned, credited, catalogued and stored with complete metadata and shot lists.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

STANDARD MINIMUM ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Completion of secondary school education. University degree in Communication Arts, Media Communications, Audio-Visual Production or any related field.

Experience: At least seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in visual communications, videography and photography, multimedia production or related fields.

Language: Fluency in both oral and written communication in English and Arabic. Knowledge of French language is an added advantage.

Required Experiences for entry into the role:

  • Demonstrated experience in producing high-quality multimedia content, including videography, photography and post-production editing for digital, media and donor communications.
  • Proven ability to develop compelling visual stories and multimedia products that communicate programme impact and support advocacy and donor visibility.
  • Strong proficiency in multimedia production and editing software, including Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant creative tools.
  • Experience planning and delivering multimedia coverage of field missions, high-level visits, events and institutional milestones.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines

Desired Skills and Knowledge

  • Experience developing multimedia campaigns and creative content for humanitarian or development organizations.
  • Experience in digital asset management, content archiving and knowledge management systems.
  • Experience developing bilingual communication products (Arabic/English).
  • Experience managing multimedia asset libraries, including archiving, metadata and digital asset management.
  • Experience producing motion graphics, animation or other advanced multimedia products.
