Organizational Context and Organization Chart
The Pacific Community (SPC) is the principal scientific and technical organization in the Pacific region, supporting impactful development since 1947. We are an international development organization owned and governed by our 27 countries and territory members. In pursuit of sustainable development to benefit Pacific people, our unique organization works across more than 25 sectors. We are known for our knowledge and innovation in fisheries science, public health surveillance, geoscience, human rights and social policy development, and conservation of plant genetic resources for food and agriculture. SPC shares the vision for our region as endorsed in SPC’s Strategic Plan 2022-2031. SPC’s mission is to work for the well-being of Pacific people through the effective and innovative application of science and knowledge, guided by a deep understanding of the Pacific Islands’ contexts and cultures.
The Operations and Integration (O&I) collective delivers essential enabling services that support the organisation’s scientific and technical portfolio. Our key functions include corporate services, programme support, partnerships, resource mobilisation, and strategic engagement. These services are coordinated through our regional and satellite offices across the Pacific and Europe. Additionally, the O&I collective

leads a dedicated workstream focused on organisational change and transformation to drive continuous improvement and adaptability.

Key Result Areas (KRAs):
The position encompasses the following functions:
- KRA 1 – Develop HRIS tools for data analysis and visualisation: transform raw HR data into robust solutions (such as Power BI dashboards and Excel macros) that enable accurate analysis and support informed, evidence-based decision-making. (40%)
- KRA 2 – Automate manual workflows to improve operational efficiency, accuracy and data integrity. (40%)
- KRA 3 – Provide back-up support to the Human Resources Officer – Remuneration & Systems Support (20%)
