Background:

UN Women, grounded in the vision of equality enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations, works for the elimination of discrimination against women and girls; the empowerment of women; and the achievement of equality between women and men as partners and beneficiaries of development, human rights, humanitarian action and peace and security.

The Division of Communications and Advocacy (DCA) leads UN Women’s global communications, advocacy, brand, media, digital, partnerships and internal communications functions through a coherent and modern structure that works seamlessly across global, regional, country offices and National Committees. Through this work, DCA positions UN Women as the leading global voice and advocate for women’s rights, a unified and trusted global brand, and a partner of choice for governments, civil society, the private sector, and the broader UN system.
