Context

The Morocco Country office (CO) works with national partners to promote the leadership and political participation of women and support the adoption of legislations, strategies and policies that promote gender equality and women’s empowerment, and for the translation of Constitutional provisions into organic and ordinary laws.

In addition, the Morocco office supports the development and implementation of gender-sensitive strategies and public policies. It fosters the production and dissemination of accurate sex-disaggregated and gender-based data to strengthen the monitoring and evaluation of progress in terms of gender equality, women's empowerment and the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals. Another important focus of the Office consists of improving the entrepreneurial capacities of women, with the goal to enhance their sustainable livelihoods and resilience though securing their access to, control over and use of productive resources.

In this context, UN Women Morocco Country office is recruiting a Programme Assistant to support the implementation of the programme “Support to gender equality in Morocco”, funded by the French Development Agency which aims at (i) reinforcing Gender Sensitive Budgeting as tool to allocate and track gender sensitive public ressources at central and local level and (ii) supporting the Care economy through reinforcing the access to quality services for elderly people.
