The Corporate Services Directorate (CS) – Information Technology Division (CS-IT) is seeking a Murex Migration Specialist to play a central role in the migration and transition activities associated with the implementation of the Bank’s new Capital Markets System (MX.3). This role is a key component of the core banking replacement project, ensuring a secure, controlled, and efficient migration from legacy systems to the new solution, while preserving data integrity and supporting business continuity across critical banking functions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as the Murex MX.3 Migration Lead within the Capital Markets System implementation programme, driving the design and execution of all migration workstreams.
- Define and implement the end-to-end migration strategy for the transition from legacy treasury and capital markets systems to Murex MX.3.
- Lead data migration activities across all relevant MX.3 domains, including:
- Trade migration
- Static and reference data migration
- Market data migration
- Counterparty and limit migration
- Historical transaction migration
- Accounting and settlement-related data migration
- Configure and utilize Murex Migration Factory tools and migration accelerators to automate extraction, transformation, validation, and loading processes.
- Define and execute migration rehearsals, mock conversions, dry runs, and production cutover activities.
- Design and maintain migration rules, mapping specifications, reconciliation controls, and data quality frameworks.
- Collaborate with Front Office, Risk, Finance, Treasury, Operations, and IT stakeholders to validate migration outcomes and ensure functional completeness.
- Coordinate migration activities with Murex implementation partners, system integrators, and third-party vendors.
- Support environment preparation and data provisioning across Development, SIT, UAT, Dress Rehearsal, and Production environments.
- Define and execute reconciliation strategies between legacy systems and Murex MX.3, ensuring complete auditability and traceability.
- Support testing activities including:
- Migration testing
- Functional testing
- Reconciliation testing
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Parallel run validation
- Identify migration gaps, data quality issues, and operational risks and propose remediation plans.
- Contribute to cutover governance, post-go-live stabilization, and migration support activities.
PROFILE
Academic background:
- Advanced degree (Master’s level or equivalent) in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field
Professional background:
- Demonstrated relevant experience delivering data migration and transformation initiatives within capital markets, treasury, or investment banking environments.
- Proven experience in at least one end-to-end Murex MX.3 implementation, upgrade, migration, or platform transformation programme.
- Demonstrated experience migrating trading, risk, treasury, collateral management, accounting, and market data into Murex MX.3.
- Strong experience in migration factory approaches, migration tooling, reconciliation frameworks, and large-scale financial data migrations.
- Experience supporting complex cutover activities, dress rehearsals, go-live preparation, and post-production stabilization.
- Good understanding of capital markets products, including:
- Fixed Income
- Money Market
- Foreign Exchange
- Derivatives (IRS, CCS)
- Securities Financing
- Repo Transactions
- Experience working within regulated financial institutions and collaborating with business and technology stakeholders.
- Experience managing delivery with software vendors, implementation partners, and offshore teams.
Mandatory requirements:
Murex MX.3 Expertise
- Strong hands-on expertise with Murex MX.3 architecture and data model.
- Deep understanding of Murex migration methodologies, migration governance, and best practices.
- Practical experience with:
- Murex Migration Factory
- Murex Migration Toolset
- Data Migration Frameworks
- Migration Accelerators provided by Murex
- Knowledge of MX.3 environments, deployment lifecycle, and release management.
Data Migration & Reconciliation
- Strong expertise in ETL processes, data mapping, data profiling, and data quality controls.
- Extensive experience defining reconciliation mechanisms and validation frameworks for financial transactions.
- Ability to analyse source-to-target mapping specifications and transformation rules.
- Experience with large-volume data migration and performance optimization.
Technical Competencies
- Advanced SQL expertise.
- Strong Oracle database knowledge.
- Linux/Unix administration skills.
- Experience with shell scripting and automation.
- Understanding of APIs, interfaces, batch processing, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Familiarity with data warehousing and reporting concepts.
Project Delivery
- Strong understanding of migration governance, issue management, and risk management.
- Experience with Agile delivery methodologies.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Optional skills
- Knowledge of Temenos T24 core banking platform.
- Experience with migration from T24 to Murex MX.3.
- Experience within Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs), Development Finance Institutions (DFIs), or public-sector financial institutions.
- Knowledge of regulatory reporting and accounting frameworks applicable to treasury and capital markets activities.
- Murex certification or recognised Murex implementation experience would be considered an advantage.
Language skills:
- Excellent command of one of the two CEB official languages (English and French), both oral and written, and knowledge of the other, with a commitment to reach a good working level.
- Knowledge of one or more other Member State language(s) is an asset.

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS
1) Initial 1-year contract (including a one-year probationary period) with the possibility of renewal one or more times up to six years.
2) Grade and salary:
- A1/A2
- Depending on level of experience, monthly salary range starts € 5,988.79 and €7,652.42, plus allowances based on eligibility, exempt of French income tax.
- Appointment may be made at a lower grade, based on the qualifications and professional experience of the selected applicant.
- Grades are established without any discrimination (including gender discrimination)
