The World Tourism Organization (UN Tourism) is the United Nations agency responsible for the promotion of responsible, sustainable and universally accessible tourism.

UN Tourism is currently looking for a Multimedia Production Intern (Videographer & Filmmaker) for its Communication Department. The Communication Department contributes to positioning tourism in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, increasing the digital footprint, as well as generating strategic media relations of UN Tourism. The work of the UN Tourism Communications Department is cross cutting to the Organization and needs an effective internal exchange with all departments to ensure overall coherence.

Under the overall supervision of the Chief, Communications Department, and the day-to-day guidance of the Programme Officer, Communications Department, the intern performs the following duties:

  1. 1. Assists in editing scripts and storyboards for videos, animations, and other multimedia content used in learning materials and communications;
  2. 2. Assists in producing and editing multimedia content, including videos, motion graphics, and visual assets;
  3. 3. Creates promotional and audiovisual storytelling content for use across UN Tourism's digital and communication channels;
  4. 4. Organizes, catalogs, and archives raw footage, project files, and multimedia assets in accordance with established file management practices;
  5. 5. Assists the communications team to develop engaging visual content aligned with UN Tourism branding and communication objectives;
  6. 6. Creates graphics, subtitles, captions, and other visual elements to enhance multimedia productions and improve accessibility;
  7. 7. Assists in preparing multimedia content for publication across websites, social media platforms, presentations, and other digital channels;
  8. 8. Ensures that multimedia products comply with UN Tourism branding guidelines, copyright requirements, and accessibility standards;
  9. 9. Perform other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Academic

  • Students currently enrolled in a university degree programme in the field of Film, Audiovisual Production, Multimedia Communication, or a related discipline; or
