Job Description

The Nutritional Quality Scientist will conduct research on the genetic and molecular mechanisms underlying important nutritional quality traits in potato and other crops, using genetics and multi-omics approaches. The position will focus on identifying key regulatory genes, understanding their inheritance and biological mechanisms, constructing molecular regulatory networks, and developing molecular markers.

Requirements

  • Research background in plant nutrition and related majors, with a deep understanding of the molecular regulation mechanisms of starch or trace elements in potatoes and other crops, experimental experience in relevant phenotypic investigations, and relevant research experience.

  • Published SCI papers in relevant fields.

  • Nationality from a Belt and Road Initiative co-building country or other developing country.

  • Work experience in the above-mentioned countries and engagement in scientific research work.

  • Doctoral degree or more than five years of scientific research work experience.

  • Relatively high scientific research level or potential.

  • Under 45 years of age, calculated as of the date of applying for the job position, and in good health.

  • Good English or excellent Chinese language communication skills.

  • Able to work full-time in China.
