About Ansh

Around 500,000 newborns die in India every year, most of them low birthweight or premature. Kangaroo Mother Care reduces neonatal mortality by 33 to 50% and holds the WHO's strongest recommendation. The evidence is settled. The challenge is delivering it consistently inside government systems at scale.

Ansh builds healthcare capacity to implement Kangaroo Care in India's public health system. Founded in 2023, it now runs programmes in 15 district hospitals with more than 170 on-ground staff, 3 implementation partners and 10 core team members. GiveWell estimates the work saves one life per $2,500 and has funded Ansh to scale across 15 district hospitals in Rajasthan.

The role

Ansh runs two systems that support programme delivery: a FlutterFlow app used by field teams across 15 district hospitals, and Streamlit dashboards that turn app data into decisions. As Ansh scales from one state to several, this role takes hands-on ownership of both.

You will be Ansh's primary technical owner of its dashboards and data infrastructure. That means end-to-end ownership of the dashboards and the BigQuery backend behind them, writing and optimising SQL for the programme and leadership teams, scoping and building new dashboard features with M&E and programme leads, integrating new data sources including CommCare M&E data, and catching data quality issues before they reach leadership or government partners. The tech team is small, so the role calls for initiative rather than a fixed job description.

What Ansh is looking for

Around 5+ years of relevant experience, including hands-on dashboard development in Streamlit or a similar Python framework and SQL work in BigQuery or a comparable cloud warehouse. Strong Python and data wrangling skills. Comfort with AI-assisted coding tools alongside the discipline to keep the resulting code maintainable. Strong communication skills, including translating non-technical requirements into specifications and explaining trade-offs back. High ownership and agency. Based in India, fluent in English, deeply aligned with the mission.

GCP and Firebase experience, health data privacy familiarity, git, agile workflows and Hindi fluency are all advantages rather than requirements.

Why apply

Real ownership of systems that matter, high autonomy in a fast-scaling evidence-driven organisation, close work with the C-suite, and a first-hand education in running a health programme inside the Indian public system. Reliable data is what lets the programme team catch problems early and keep care on track.

One thing worth checking: the deadline is nine days out, so if Impact Pool has a lead time for listings going live it may be worth flagging the rolling assessment prominently, or extending the date.
