We are currently looking for a Banker to join our Baltic hub based in Riga, Latvia.
As a Banker, you will work closely with experienced Senior Bankers across the full transaction lifecycle, from origination to execution and portfolio management. Depending on your experience, you will gradually take increasing responsibility for client relationships and a portfolio of your own.
Your role and key responsibilities
In this role, you will gain broad exposure to corporate lending transactions within multiple sectors, with a special focus on industry and real estate, working in multidisciplinary transaction teams.
Your main tasks will include:
• Supporting transaction origination, including preparation of indicative pricing, internal assessments and term sheets
• Participating in the execution of loan transactions, including due diligence coordination, credit proposal preparation, and internal approval processes
• Assisting in transaction team management and coordination with internal stakeholders (legal, credit risk, sustainability, compliance and treasury)
• Acting as back-up for the primary banker in transaction execution and client relationship management, ensuring continuity and high-quality client interaction
• Supporting portfolio and client relationship management
• Contribute to lending business development, including system and product development projects
As your expertise grows, the role may also include increasing responsibility for origination activities across the Baltic States and independent client coverage in the coming years.
Your profile
Education
• Master’s degree in finance, economics, business, engineering, law, or another relevant field
Experience
• At least 3 years of relevant experience with Baltic corporate clients
• Demonstrated exposure to lending transactions
• Experience preparing and presenting credit proposals to senior credit committees
• Experience coordinating with legal, risk, compliance and treasury teams
• Understanding of key Baltic industries, including manufacturing, energy, infrastructure, transport, and real estate.
Skills and competencies
• Strong credit analysis skills, including financial modelling and cash flow analysis
• Analytical and solutions-oriented
• High attention to detail combined with the ability to manage several tasks in parallel and meet deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present complex topics clearly and concisely
• Ability to work effectively in teams and build constructive relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
• Proactive, curious and solution-oriented mindset, with willingness to take ownership of tasks and grow professionally
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required
• Fluency in one of the Baltic languages is a requirement.
