Under the overall guidance of the FAO Representative, the Partnership and Resource Mobilization Specialist will support FAO Oman in strengthening its engagement with national and international partners and in identifying and following up on partnership and resource mobilization opportunities. FAO Oman works closely with the Government of Oman, including relevant ministries and national institutions, to support the implementation of FAO’s programme priorities in areas related to food security, agriculture, fisheries, natural resource management, climate resilience, and sustainable food systems. In this context, the incumbent will support the Office in mapping and engaging with government counterparts, development partners, donors, international financial institutions, private sector entities, UN agencies, and other relevant stakeholders to identify opportunities for collaboration and support the mobilization of financial and technical resources for the implementation of FAO’s programme in Oman. The position will also contribute to maintaining an updated overview of potential partnerships and funding opportunities and to strengthening the follow-up and coordination of related activities.

The incumbent will work in close coordination with the FAO Oman programme and technical teams, as well as with FAO-RNE, including the Sub-regional Partnership Specialist and Programme Officer (Partnership), relevant technical units, and other FAO offices, as appropriate. This coordination will facilitate the exchange of information, identification of potential funding and partnership opportunities, and preparation of inputs and materials to support engagement with prospective partners and resource providers. The position will contribute to ensuring that partnership and resource mobilization activities are consistent with FAO’s Strategic Framework, the Oman Country Programming Framework (CPF), national development priorities, and relevant regional and global initiatives. The assignment will therefore provide operational and coordination support to the FAO Oman Office in strengthening its partnership base and resource mobilization efforts and in facilitating the development and follow-up of opportunities in support of programme delivery.
