Background
<Anchored in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and committed to the principles of universality, equality, and leaving no one behind, UNDP’s global vision, as articulated in its Strategic Plan, is to support countries in accelerating progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), advancing sustainable development pathways, reducing poverty and inequalities, and strengthening resilience to crises and shocks. Through its integrated development approach, UNDP aims to create meaningful and measurable impact in the lives of millions of people worldwide.
In Cameroon, UNDP’s strategic support through the 2022-2026 CPD, which is drawing to an end, is aligned with national development priorities and focuses on accelerating progress through six signature solutions: poverty and inequality, governance, resilience, environment, energy, and gender equality, enabled by digital transformation, strategic innovation, and development financing.
The UNDP Cameroon Country Office supports the implementation of the National Development Strategy (NDS30) and the Sustainable Development Goals through three programmatic priorities: transformative, inclusive and sustainable growth; inclusive governance and peacebuilding; and environmental sustainability, climate risk and disaster management.
Effective visual communication and storytelling play a critical role in enhancing the visibility of development results, promoting advocacy initiatives, strengthening stakeholder engagement, and showcasing the impact of UNDP’s work across the country. As digital communication continues to evolve, the demand for high-quality visual content, creative branding, multimedia storytelling, and audience-centered communication products has become increasingly important.
To support strategic communication, visibility, advocacy, and digital engagement efforts across the Country Office and field offices, UNDP Cameroon is seeking a highly motivated and creative Graphic Design and Multimedia Intern. The internship is intended for candidates with strong competencies in graphic design, visual communication, branding, digital content creation, and multimedia production, who are passionate about using creativity and design to advance sustainable development objectives.
UNDP is committed to achieving workforce diversity in terms of gender, nationality, and culture. Individuals from minority groups, indigenous groups, and persons with disabilities are equally encouraged to apply. All applications will be treated with the strictest confidence.
UNDP does not tolerate sexual exploitation and abuse, any form of harassment, including sexual harassment, or discrimination. All selected candidates will therefore undergo rigorous reference and background checks.>
