Student Assistant Grants and Contracts*
in Bonn
The position is to be filled as soon as possible, with an initial contract duration of one year. There are good prospects for an extension. Employment location will be Bonn, Germany. You will work 20 hours/week, to enable you to continue your qualification within the framework of your current studies. Mobile work within Germany is possible in agreement with your team. 100% mobile work is not possible. The position is remunerated with 15 Euro per hour.
The role is part of the Grants & Contracts team within Welthungerhilfe’s Institutional Donor Relations Unit, this unit maintains relationships with institutional donors, supports internal knowledge management, and advises our Country Offices on the review of project proposals, contracts, and donor reports.
As a working student, you will support your colleagues in their day-to-day work, focusing primarily on collaboration with our BMZ team. In this role, you will gain comprehensive insight into the organization’s activities and become familiar with the various areas of work within an international development cooperation organization.
Your responsibilities
- Support the BMZ team, particularly in reviewing financial reports and all relevant supporting documents (such as voucher lists, inventory records, audit reports, etc.).
- Reconcile financial reports with project accounting records.
- Communicate with the respective Country Offices, particularly during the review process.
- Support the preparation of external audits.
- Maintain and enter data in the Bengo Online Portal.
- Maintain relevant tables and overviews in Excel.
- Create and adapt AI-supported tools.
- Carry out general financial administration tasks.
Your profile
- You are currently enrolled at a university or university of applied sciences
- You have experience working with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office 365
- Ideally, you have already gained initial experience in financial administration
- You demonstrate a high level of organizational accuracy and an affinity for numbers
- You enjoy working in an international environment
- Experience with common AI applications is an asset.
- Good English and German language skills, both written and spoken.
