UNRWA is a United Nations agency established by the General Assembly in 1949 and is mandated to provide assistance and protection to a population of some 5.8 million registered Palestine refugees. The incumbent reports to Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

Responsibilities

In accordance with Agency policy and procedures, the incumbent: 1- Follows up with Programme departments to ensure completion of data collection tools and clarifies missing or inconsistent information. 2- Supports research activities related to the effectiveness of interventions including the development of questionnaires and surveys. 3- Contributes to the design of appropriate indicators, targets and benchmarks to be used to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness and impact of SFO programmes, as assigned by the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer. 4- Reviews and analyzes data and writes summary reports based on monitoring and evaluation results. 5- Assists in coordinating logistical arrangements for meetings or surveys related to monitoring activities, including third-party monitoring. 6- Prepares field monitoring tools and leads on drafting monitoring findings following field monitoring visit. 7- Supports the preparation of summary tables, charts or visuals to facilitate the interpretation of results and trends. 8- Supports the Projects Officers in the Programme Support Office, as assigned by the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, in preparing accurate data (incl. indicator achievements) for donor reports. 9- Performs other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
