The Information and Technology Solutions (ITS) Vice Presidential Unit (VPU) enables the World Bank Group to achieve its mission of ending extreme poverty and boost shared prosperity on a livable planet by delivering transformative information and technologies to its staff working in over 150+ locations. Unit Context
The ITS Risk Management and Analytics (ITSRA) unit enables key WBG Risk functions managed by the Risk vice-presidencies and their corporate partners such as measure and monitor credit risk, market risk, operational risk, and liquidity risk to safeguard WBG institutions’ AAA rating and reputation.  The unit also engages with Treasury, WFA, and DFI to ensure proper capture, valuation, and support analytics around financial instruments and counterparties, and the risks they carry.
Role Purpose
Murex if front-to-back funding management platform, and Liquidity solution within it aims to consolidate IBRD’s balance sheet and provide business users with ALM Liquidity reports. The platform has been continuously enhanced since the go-live in 2020 to keep the system current and answer to the growing demand from the user side. A few projects examples are: Liquidity redesign to enhance performance, Bank-wide LIBOR project, automation of the QA and Environment management processes, Tango project etc. The WB team continues to use contractor resources to assist in the CCMSR and TANGO post-production initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintenance and enhancement of the MX Functional and Technical Interfaces

• Maintenance and enhancement of the Murex Datamart layer

• Prototype and develop Devops pipelines in ADO

• Various tasks automation in the scope of CICD ADO automation

• Design, develop, code review, and test the application according to Agile principles

• Assist in Integration Testing and user acceptance testing

• Perform Code optimization and strictly adhere to bank coding standards

• Assist in any documentation or any artifacts needed for EA/OIS clearance

Selection Criteria

Education and Experience
• Requires a Master’s degree with 5 years of experience or a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Core Skills and Capabilities
• Expert Knowledge and MX Connectivity and Interfaces

• Expert Knowledge and Experience with MX Datamart

• Advanced Knowledge of Financial Instruments (Fixed Income and Rates Derivatives)

• Advanced Knowledge and Experience with Devops (especially ADO)

• Advanced understanding of Object Oriented technology and standard Java development frameworks

• Advanced knowledge on Oracle 12c SQL, PL/SQL procedures

• Extensive Experience in Software Development Life Cycle 

• Experience in analysis & design using UML and case complete

• Experience with IDEs, such as Eclipse and IntelliJ

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Proven conceptual, analytical, and judgmental skills

• Knowledge of Murex MX.3 Technical platform and APIs

• Ability to multitask
