IVY (Asociación Ivy / Fundación IVY) is looking for a Senior Advisor Operations and Organisational Development to help scale climate impact!
The Strategic Operations Expert serves as a high-level operational all-rounder hired to work side-by-side with IVY's founding executive leaders, the CEO and COO, to successfully guide the organization out of its early-stage startup phase and into a mature, professionalized, and fully scalable institution. Acting as an operational architect and strategic thought partner, the post holder will identify organizational bottlenecks, diagnose operational blind spots, and build the core systems, policies, HR frameworks, and governance mechanisms required for sustainable growth. This position bridges high-level executive strategy and practical system-building, ensuring that IVY's rapid programmatic and geographical expansion is anchored by resilient non-profit operations.
IVY is an impact-driven non-profit advancing climate action, energy transition policies, and sustainable development. Operating as a matrix organization, a core executive team provides administrative and strategic guidance alongside technical and country managers. IVY is at a pivotal growth junction following a major award from Climate Breakthrough. Currently operating across 4 countries in Latin America, IVY is preparing to scale its operational footprint and global policy influence across Latin America and into Africa and Asia over the next three years.
This role is part of the Organisation Builder Program by Surge Climate Talent in partnership with InsightPact, designed to help climate civil society organisations scale their impact by building essential operational capacity. The program directly solves operational bottlenecks faced by many climate CSO leaders by recruiting experienced, strategic operations experts into CSOs to build the systems, processes, and governance necessary for sustainable growth.
To support your transition into the climate sector, and in addition to the role, the program provides structured climate education, mentorship and coaching, and a strong peer network. Ultimately, this role serves as your launchpad for a long-term career in the climate sector.
📍 Location: Remote/Flexible within Latin American & Carribean time zones
💸Salary range: $30,000 - 40,000 per year, commensurate with experience (part-time)
