What we are looking for:

Join NRC as our Donor Journey Specialist Adviser and help shape how we connect with, engage, and retain our regular donors across multiple markets.

As the Product Owner for our marketing automation platform, you will lead our multi-channel engagement strategy, while shaping the donor journey, content strategy, and execution from insight to action. You’ll play a key role in strengthening donor loyalty and unlocking greater income from our existing donor base.

We’re looking for someone who can connect strategy with execution - a confident stakeholder leader who can influence across a complex global organisation, spot opportunities, prioritise what matters, and turn donor insights and data into meaningful action.  You bring a strong understanding of Salesforce Marketing Cloud, donor journey modelling, donor behaviour, analytics, and fundraising, combined with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and deliver measurable results.

This is a 12-month temporary cover position, offering an opportunity to make a tangible contribution to NRC’s global fundraising and donor engagement agenda. If you’re passionate about using data, technology and donor insight to build stronger relationships and increase impact, we’d like to hear from you.

This opportunity is open for NRC’s internal candidates who have the right to live and work in Norway.

What you will do:

Some of your specific responsibilities include:

  • Lead and influence the development of regular donor journey strategy across markets, translating donor insights, business objectives and fundraising best practice into opportunities to increase loyalty, donor value and income.

  • Lead strategic cross-functional initiatives related to donor growth and value, such as developing and implementing mid-level donor segmentation and outreach programmes.

  • Product Owner for Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including defining guidelines for effective and sustainable use, prioritizing the product roadmap, and supporting training and capability building among relevant colleagues.

  • Develop and continuously optimize donor journeys and content products that engage, inform and retain regular donors across markets and languages, including Norway, Sweden, Germany, USA and global English audiences.

  • Identify, develop and test opportunities to improve fundraising performance, including journeys and triggers supporting retention, reactivation, upselling, cross-selling and payment recovery.

  • Use donor behaviour, analytics and performance data to identify opportunities and inform decisions, including developing and monitoring relevant KPIs and contributing to segmentation and analytical frameworks.

  • Operationalize journeys and campaigns, including journey design, A/B testing, implementation, performance monitoring and continuous optimization based on results.

  • Coordinate regular donor content across relevant markets, ensuring appropriate market adaptation, translation, delivery and performance tracking.

  • Conduct benchmarking and best-practice analysis to identify opportunities to improve donor engagement, fundraising performance and the use of marketing automation.

  • Develop business insights and recommendations that contribute to fundraising and donor strategy and identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.

  • Lead implementation of prioritized improvements through cross-functional working groups and task forces, ensuring alignment between donor strategy, technology and execution.
