PROJECT BACKGROUND
The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), through funding provided by the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD), is implementing the GRIF Management Support Guyana Phase II Project. The project provides management and technical support to the Guyana REDD+ Investment Fund (GRIF) and the broader Guyana-Norway Partnership, with a focus on strengthening project monitoring, reporting, stakeholder coordination, knowledge management, public awareness, data accessibility, and institutional capacity.
As the project approaches its final implementation period in 2026, targeted support is required to coordinate remaining project activities, support reporting obligations, facilitate stakeholder engagement, oversee knowledge product development, and assist with preparations for project closure and dissemination activities.
OBJECTIVE OF THE ASSIGNMENT
The objective of this consultancy is to provide dedicated coordinate and monitor the implementation of the GRIF Management Support Guyana Phase II Project during the final quarter of 2026 (mid-September to December 2026), ensuring timely delivery of project outputs and contributing to the effective closure of the project.
SCOPE OF WORK
Under the supervision of the Guyana Program Officer and in close collaboration with the Guyana Country Team, GRIF Secretariat, implementing agencies, partner entities, and consultants, the Consultant shall undertake the following tasks:
A. Project Coordination and Portfolio Monitoring

Coordinate ongoing GRIF and Guyana-Norway Partnership activities.

Coordinate with implementing agencies and partner entities on project updates, reporting requirements, and information requests.

Maintain records of biweekly coordination meetings, decisions, risks, and follow-up actions.
-
Monitor implementation progress across active GRIF-funded projects.
-
Identify and assess implementation bottlenecks and risks.
B. Reporting and Knowledge Management

Prepare and quality-review project reports, summaries, presentations, and briefing materials.

Consolidate and review technical and financial information received from project stakeholders.

Coordinate the preparation of quarterly, annual, and close-out reporting requirements.

Maintain and organize project files, databases, and support documentation.
-
Coordinate the data collection and verification for project performance reporting.
C. Communications and Knowledge Products
-
Coordinate stakeholder engagement activities related to case studies, videos, success stories, and documentary development.

Facilitate scheduling of interviews and information gathering for knowledge products.

Review and quality assurance of communication materials.
-
Plan and coordinate the dissemination of lessons learned, project impacts, and success stories.

Coordinate updates to the GRIF website and information repository as required.
D. Stakeholder Engagement and Events

Coordinate meetings, workshops, consultations, and close-out events.

Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, presentations, and follow-up actions.

Engage implementing agencies, government counterparts, donor representatives, and project consultants to support delivery of project outputs.

Coordinate the logistical and administrative arrangements required for the effective delivery of project activities.
E. Project Close-Out Support

Coordinate the preparation and organization of project closure documentation.

Consolidate evidence of achievements, lessons learned, and project results.

Develop and manage the workplan for project dissemination and close-out activities.
-
Review the status and completeness of assigned project deliverables and reporting requirements.

REPORTING AND SUPERVISON ARRANGEMENTS
The Consultant shall report directly to the GGGI Guyana Program Officer and work under the overall guidance of the Project Manager.
EXPERTISE REQUIRED
Qualifications and Skills
Master’s degree in project management, Environmental Management, Natural Resources Management, Development Studies, Public Administration, Communications, Economics, International Development, or a related field.
General Professional Experience

Minimum 5-8 years of relevant professional experience in project coordination, programme management, stakeholder engagement, development cooperation, donor-funded projects, or related fields.

Experience supporting reporting, monitoring, and evaluation activities.

Experience working with government agencies, international organizations, or development partners.

Experience organizing workshops, consultations, and stakeholder engagement activities.

Performance will be assessed based on:

Effectiveness in monitoring project implementation and close-out activities.

Relevant professional experience in project coordination/donor-funded projects (40%).

Quality of cover letter/CV presentation and communication skills (20%).
Only candidates achieving a minimum overall score of 80% will be considered for interview/selection.

The Consultant shall maintain confidentiality of all documents, information, and data obtained during the course of the assignment. All outputs prepared under this assignment shall become the property of GGGI.
The Consultant shall adhere to GGGI's Code of Conduct and complete the associated declaration prior to commencement. The Consultant shall be engaged as an independent contractor and shall not be regarded, for any purpose, as a GGGI staff member.
