We improve lives

IDB Invest is the private sector arm of the IDB Group committed to supporting the sustainable development of Latin America and the Caribbean through the private sector. Our mission is to finance, structure, and mobilize capital for companies and projects that support economic growth, resilience, and long-term development across the region.

IDB Invest operates in 26 countries, structured across four geographic regions and three industry verticals: Infrastructure and Energy, Financial Institutions, and Corporates.

As part of its evolving business model, “Originate to Share,” IDB Invest is expanding its capacity to mobilize private capital and scale development impact across Latin America and the Caribbean, supported by a $3.5 billion capitalization from its shareholders. The model strengthens IDB Invest’s ability to originate high-quality assets, structure innovative financial solutions, and connect global capital with opportunities across the region.

About this position

IDB Invest is seeking a B2B Marketing & Business Communications professional to support the Business Planning team in positioning the institution across key industries. You will strengthen how IDB Invest communicates the value, innovation, and development impact of its portfolio to external audiences, clients, and partners.

You will work closely with the marketing team, internal business teams, the communications team, and industry leaders to coordinate marketing and communications activities linked to transactions, events, and high-profile awards. You will use marketing tools, content management platforms, and stakeholder databases to plan, execute, and monitor initiatives that enhance brand positioning in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The role covers the end-to-end lifecycle of business communications: from identifying opportunities and drafting materials, to coordinating cross-functional inputs, executing events, and measuring outcomes. You will support signings, closing ceremonies, awards applications, and event organization.

This position is strategically relevant to IDB Invest's mission of advancing private sector-led development. By elevating the visibility of transactions and recognitions, you will contribute to client engagement, partner attraction, and IDB Invest's leadership in development finance.

  • Contact management and event follow-up: maintain accurate stakeholder contact records and update event-related information before and after each event, including invitation and attendance status, participant details, engagement notes, follow-up actions, and relevant outcomes.
  • Marketing campaigns: support content initiatives and campaigns that reinforce IDB Invest's positioning in Latin America and the Caribbean.
