The primary objectives of this consultancy service are to: Configuration: set up and customise the features of the LMS to fit the specific requirements of UNEP in accessing and administering digital learning resources and considering the IT infrastructure compatibility. Migrate: seamlessly move digital learning content and learners' profiles from the existing Corporate Academy LMS to the UN Campus and ensure the content SCORM compatibility and easy and secure accessibility of the learning resources with minimal or no service interruption and no mitigation cost. Launch and sustain the new platform, make it public and accessible to the learning community, reach out to the target audience and provide timely and relevant information on the new LMS, and ensure a smooth running of the platform until it is fully sustained. Documentation and transfer of knowledge: keep a record of the major activities of the migration project, document background resources and share them in a central repository which can be accessed for future reference and facilitate knowledge and skills transfer sessions to CSD-HR staff to build internal capacity of staff who will participate in sustaining and running the new platform.

Duties and Responsibilities
Organizational Setting: The United Nations Environment Programme is the leading global environmental authority that sets the global environmental agenda, promotes the coherent implementation of the environmental dimension of sustainable development within the United Nations system and serves as an authoritative advocate for the global environment. The consultancy position is in the Human Resources Unit of the Corporate Services Division at the Nairobi Duty Station, and reports to the Training Officer. To achieve the objectives of the project and deliver the expected outputs, the LMS Technical Support will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities: Contribute to the development and operationalization of UN Campus, including the creation, management, and maintenance of learning content and user access, as part of the rollout and adoption process and Assess reporting requirements across entities to identify and implement effective data solutions. Facilitate seamless adoption of UN Campus by providing customized support for entity onboarding, data migration, and functional feature training. Participate in quality assurance activities to promote platform stability and consistent user experience and synthesize learner and stakeholder feedback to inform continuous improvement of UN Campus. Perform testing for new features, plugins, and platform updates; troubleshoot and resolve complex technical and operational issues. Explore and test AI‑enabled tools to catalyze enhancements in personalized learning paths, learner engagement, and operational efficiency. Design and develop learning resources, communication materials and operational checklists Review, create and update user manuals, technical guides, SOPs, and "best practice" guidelines to standardize UN Campus operationalization across the organization. Deliver hands-on technical training on key functionalities of the new LMS to HR staff to ensure a smooth knowledge transfer and sustain the operation of the platform. Document all resources and upload digital documents for the project, ensuring easy accessibility for future reference. Perform other related duties within the scope of this assignment, as required.
Qualifications/special skills
Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in Education Technology, Instructional Design, Learning Technologies, Information Systems, Computer Science, Educational Technology, Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field. A first-level university degree in a relevant field combined with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced degree is required. Minimum 2 years of hands-on Moodle Workplace/LMS administration experience, including LMS implementation, content and learner-data migration, user access management, testing/quality assurance, troubleshooting, training delivery, and technical documentation development is required. Experience supporting organization-wide LMS rollouts within international organizations, UN agencies, NGOs, or large enterprises is highly desirable.
Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the post advertised, fluency in written and spoken English is required.
