The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is seeking a qualified and motivated Information Management & Accountability Specialist to strengthen information management, data quality, analysis, reporting, and accountability systems across its South Sudan programmes.
Overall Purpose
Under the supervision of the MEAL Manager, the Specialist will strengthen information management systems, data analysis, visualization, and accountability reporting to support effective programme delivery and evidence-based decision-making.
The position will serve as the focal point for the Activities, Indicators and Beneficiary Tracking Tool (AIPTT), ensuring accurate and timely data management, quality assurance, reporting, and staff capacity building. The role will also support the digitization and strengthening of Community Feedback Mechanisms (CFM) and accountability systems.
Key Responsibilities
Information Management
- Manage and provide technical support on data collection, management, analysis, visualization, and reporting systems.
- Serve as the focal point for AIPTT, ensuring accurate and timely updates, indicator tracking, and documentation of means of verification.
- Support the development and digitalization of MEAL and programme tools.
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, graphs, and other information products.
- Conduct data cleaning, validation, consolidation, and quality checks.
- Provide data and analysis for proposals, programme reviews, donor reporting, and other reporting requirements.
- Provide technical support and follow-up to programme and field teams.
Accountability & CFM
- Support the digitization and management of Community Feedback Mechanisms, Kobo tools, trackers, and accountability systems.
- Support feedback analysis, accountability reporting, dashboards, and trend analysis.
- Support the visibility and use of accountability channels and information materials.
- Contribute to the implementation of accountability and CHS improvement actions.
Capacity Building
- Train and support MEAL, programme, and field teams on information management systems, reporting tools, dashboards, and data quality.
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot data management and reporting systems.
- Conduct field visits and follow up on data quality and reporting requirements.
- Perform other duties assigned by the MEAL Manager.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Additional training or certification in MEAL, Information Management, Data Analysis, or Accountability is an advantage.
Experience & Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in information/data management, preferably in a humanitarian context.
- Strong Excel skills, including advanced formulas and data management using online and offline platforms.
- Experience managing large datasets and developing databases.
- Strong experience with Power BI, data visualization, dashboards, and advanced Excel.
- Experience with systems integration, APIs, XML, or related technologies is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, reporting, communication, and training skills.
- Experience with data management systems and digital data collection tools.
- Good computer literacy and experience working with INGOs is preferred.
Language
- Full professional proficiency in English is required.
- Knowledge of Arabic or other local languages is an advantage.
