The consultant will carry out the specific deliverables under the overall guidance of the project team. Regular and proactive contact with the project team to clarify questions during the work process and/or to seek interim clearance of individual parts of the work is expected: A. An adapted GRACE Training-of-Trainers methodology on integrity education, ethical values and corruption prevention is submitted, contextualized to the Guatemalan educational context and tailored to the needs of primary school teachers. B. An adapted GRACE Training-of-Trainers methodology on integrity education, ethical values and corruption prevention is submitted, contextualized to the Guatemalan educational context and tailored to the needs of secondary school teachers. C. A tailored GRACE Training-of-Trainers package for Guatemalan primary school teachers is submitted, comprising adapted training materials, pedagogical resources, practical classroom tools, and other supporting materials required for effective delivery and replication. D. A tailored GRACE Training-of-Trainers package for Guatemalan secondary school teachers is submitted, comprising adapted training materials, pedagogical resources, practical classroom tools, and other supporting materials required for effective delivery and replication. E. A Training-of-Trainers workshop for selected teachers in Guatemala is organized and delivered, including the presentation and application of the adapted methodology, training materials, and practical tools.

Background of the assignment: The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) has established a leading global position in delivering support to countries to prevent and combat corruption, serving as the guardian of the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC). Within UNODC, the overall substantive and implementation responsibilities and functions relating to UNCAC are vested with the Corruption and Financial Crime Branch (CFB). To bring its anti-corruption services closer to beneficiary countries, CFB has established a Regional Corruption and Financial Crime Hub for Latin America and the Caribbean. Preventing corruption requires comprehensive and sustainable approaches that go beyond institutional frameworks and enforcement mechanisms, including the promotion of a culture of integrity and ethical values from an early stage. In this context, integrity education plays a key role in fostering awareness, responsible behaviour, ethical decision-making and social responsibility among younger generations. Through its Global Resource for Anti-Corruption Education and Youth Empowerment (GRACE) initiative, UNODC has developed and implemented initiatives aimed at promoting integrity education and supporting stakeholders in the development of educational approaches, methodologies and tools that contribute to preventing corruption and strengthening a culture of integrity. These initiatives support educational actors in integrating integrity values and corruption prevention concepts into learning environments in an age-appropriate and pedagogically sound manner. Within this framework, UNODC will support integrity education initiatives in Guatemala through the development of a tailored Training-of-Trainers (ToT) methodology and supporting educational tools for schoolteachers working in primary and secondary education. The consultancy will support the design and implementation of a comprehensive approach for training teachers, ensuring that methodologies and materials are adapted to the Guatemalan educational context, reflect pedagogical principles, and provide teachers with practical tools to promote integrity values, ethical reflection and corruption prevention awareness among students. Purpose of the assignment: The purpose of this consultancy is to support the development and implementation of a context-specific Training –of-Trainers (ToT) methodology and related educational tools aimed at strengthening the capacities of school teachers in Guatemala to promote integrity education among students in primary and secondary education. The consultancy will contribute to developing sustainable educational approaches that enable teachers to incorporate integrity values, ethical decision-making, citizenship education, responsibility and corruption prevention concepts into learning activities adapted to different educational levels. The assignment will support UNODC’s efforts to strengthen integrity education initiatives in the region by ensuring that teachers are equipped with practical methodologies, pedagogical resources and tools that can be effectively applied in classroom environments. Deliverable A: Adaptation of existing GRACE Training-of-Trainers methodology on integrity education, ethical values and corruption prevention to the Guatemalan educational context, ensuring its relevance and applicability for school teachers working with students at primary education levels. Deliverable B: Adaptation of existing GRACE Training-of-Trainers methodology on integrity education, ethical values and corruption prevention to the Guatemalan educational context, ensuring its relevance and applicability for school teachers working with students at secondary education levels. Deliverable C: Adaptation and contextualization of GRACE Training-of-Trainers package for school teachers, including the review and adjustment of existing training materials such as the Facilitator’s Guide, Participant Manual, PowerPoint presentations, classroom exercises, case studies, assessment tools, handouts, reference bibliography, and other supporting educational resources, to ensure their relevance and effective use within the Guatemalan primary education context. Deliverable D: Adaptation and contextualization of a comprehensive GRACE Training-of-Trainers package for school teachers, including the review and adjustment of existing training materials such as the Facilitator’s Guide, Participant Manual, PowerPoint presentations, classroom exercises, case studies, assessment tools, handouts, reference bibliography, and other supporting educational resources, to ensure their relevance and effective use within the Guatemalan secondary education context. Deliverable E: Organization and delivery of a Training –of-Trainers workshop for selected teachers in Guatemala, including preparation of the agenda, coordination with participants, facilitation of sessions, and presentation and application of the methodology, materials and practical tools developed under this consultancy.

• An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in education, pedagogy, educational sciences, curriculum development, teacher training, social sciences or a related field is required. A first-level university degree in similar fields combined with two additional years of qualifying professional experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. • A minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience in education, teacher training, development of pedagogical methodologies, curriculum design or educational capacity-building initiatives is required. • Proven experience in designing and delivering Training-of-Trainers programmes for teachers, educators or other practitioners is required. • Demonstrated experience in developing educational materials, methodologies or learning resources adapted to different age groups is required. • Experience in education for values, citizenship education, ethics, integrity, social responsibility or related areas is required. • Experience working in Guatemala is required. • Familiarity with UNODC’s anti-corruption mandate and with the international and regional conventions on the prevention of and fight against corruption to which the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean are parties is desirable. • Proven experience in designing and delivering Training-of-Trainers programmes for teachers, educators or other practitioners is desirable. • Experience working with formal education systems, schools, educational institutions and/or ministries of education is desirable. • Proven capacity to work independently and with minimal supervision is desirable.

• English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this post, fluency in oral and written Spanish is required. Knowledge of another official United Nations language is an advantage.
