• Timely delivery of visuals, graphic materials, content and communication products in accordance with communication policies, procedures and plans. • Launch of automated translation service for UNJSPF website, subject to provision of relevant resources, or its predisposition. • Quality of input and products requiring minimum supervision and review. • Timely and regular provision of performance reports of UNJSPF online tools and external posts. • Annual and monthly reports are delivered to PA Public Information Officer with key communication data, metrics and findings. • Templates are consistent and staff are aware of where to find and how to use them. • UNJSPF Communications mailbox is maintained in accordance with standard operating procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities
Within delegated authority, the Individual Contractor will be responsible for the following duties: • Reviews and rationalizes existing UNJSPF outreach presentations, identifying gaps, inconsistencies and opportunities for improved clarity and visual coherence. • Designs and develops a standardized presentation template aligned with United Nations and UNJSPF branding and graphic standards, ensuring consistency across all outreach materials. • Prepares eight (8) complete sets of PowerPoint presentations tailored for pension townhall sessions, adapting messaging and visuals to different audience segments (active participants, retirees, HR focal points, etc.). • Translates complex pension-related policies, processes and technical information into clear, concise and accessible language suitable for diverse audiences. • Revises and streamlines existing outreach materials into concise, user-friendly, digital-first formats (including slides, infographics, and short-form content). • Applies strong visual design principles to enhance readability, engagement and accessibility of communication products, including appropriate use of typography, layout, icons and data visualization. • Ensures all materials comply with United Nations editorial standards and accessibility requirements where applicable. • Collaborates with subject matter experts within Pension Administration and Client Services to ensure accuracy and relevance of content. • Provides recommendations for improving the overall effectiveness and consistency of UNJSPF outreach communications. • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/special skills
A first-level university degree (Master's or Doctorate degree, or equivalent) in communication, journalism, graphic design international relations, public administration or related fields is required. A graphic design certification with two additional years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of a first-level university degree. A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in communications, public information, graphic design, or related area is required. Experience in developing and designing presentations (PowerPoint or similar tools) is required. Experience in translating complex or technical subject matter into user-friendly communication products is required. Experience with developing content in English and French or Spanish is required. Experience working within the United Nations system or other international organizations is desirable. Experience in digital communications, including development of concise, digital-first content formats, is desirable.
Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this position fluency in English (both oral and written) is required. Fluency of French or Spanish (both oral and written) is desirable. Knowledge of another official United Nations language is an advantage.
