Deliverables • Consolidated analytical database. • Statistical processing report. • Preliminary indicator tables and graphs. Output 3 - Territorial Analysis of Illegal Mining Activities Preparation of analytical products and final statistical assessment. Activities: • Calculation of final indicators. • Production of statistical outputs. • Spatial-statistical analysis of illegal mining dynamics. • Assessment of relationships between illegal mining, coca cultivation, population characteristics, and socioeconomic variables. • Development of recommendations for future monitoring exercises. Under the supervision of the project coordinator, the Individual Contractor will carry out the following tasks: The scope of the consultancy comprises three main components: statistical design of indicators, processing and integration of databases, and analytical assessment of territorial dynamics associated with illegal mining activities. Indicator Design and Methodological Framework Develop a conceptual and methodological framework for the statistical monitoring of illegal mining activities in the selected municipality. Activities include: • Definition of key analytical dimensions and variables. • Development of a battery of territorial indicators related to illegal mining. • Identification of information sources and metadata. • Methodological definition of indicator calculation procedures. • Establishment of statistical quality control criteria. • Preparation of technical indicator sheets. Database Integration and Statistical Processing Compile, organize, clean, standardize, and process statistical and spatial information from various sources. Activities include: • Integration of information produced by satellite image interpretation activities. • Processing of demographic and socioeconomic information from the most recent Population and Housing Census of Bolivia. • Processing of administrative and territorial databases provided by UNODC and counterpart institutions. • Construction of relational databases. • Generation of aggregated datasets at municipal, community, and territorial levels. • Statistical consistency checks and quality assurance procedures. • Cross-referencing mining information with territorial variables and other illicit economy indicators, including coca cultivation information when available. Statistical Analysis and Production of Analytical Outputs Conduct descriptive and exploratory analyses aimed at identifying patterns and relationships associated with illegal mining activities. Activities include: • Analysis of temporal trends in mining expansion. • Analysis of demographic and socioeconomic conditions in areas affected by mining activities. • Identification of territorial clusters and hotspots associated with illegal mining. • Statistical analysis of relationships between mining activities and other territorial variables. • Development of dashboards, statistical tables, graphs, and summary products. • Preparation of analytical reports presenting findings and recommendations

• High school diploma or equivalent is required. • At least 3-years relevant experience in statistical analysis. • Knowledge of statistical software (R, Python, SPSS, STATA or similar) is desirable. • Knowledge of QGiS or Arc Gis is desirable.

English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this position, fluency in Spanish, i.e. oral and written proficiency, is required. Knowledge of English is desirable. Knowledge of another United Nations official language is an advantage.
