Assignment Background

ITSDX requires an Extended Term Consultant to support the end-to-end execution of Audio Visual and Video Conferencing system integration and deployment. The assignment emphasizes disciplined implementation of approved designs and the delivery of systems that are installed, configured, tested, documented, and handed over in a fully operational state.

Objective of the Assignment

The objective of this assignment is to provide hands-on AV/VC integration expertise for deployments at headquarters and country offices. The consultant will help ensure that installations comply with approved designs, safety requirements, engineering standards, acceptance criteria, and operational-readiness expectations.

Scope of Work and Responsibilities

1. Site Readiness and Installation

• Conduct site assessments and validate readiness, including power, rack space, and cabling pathways.
• Perform AV/VC system installation, including rack builds, equipment mounting, and structured cabling.
• Ensure compliance with applicable safety, quality, and engineering standards.

2. System Integration and Configuration

• Configure and integrate multi-vendor AV/VC systems, including control systems, DSP/audio, video distribution, and unified communications platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Webex, and Zoom.
• Execute end-to-end system integration in alignment with approved designs and technical requirements.

3. Testing, Commissioning, and Acceptance

• Perform functional testing and commissioning, including signal verification and performance tuning.
• Validate interoperability across relevant platforms and system components.
• Prepare commissioning reports and verify that systems meet defined acceptance criteria.

4. Documentation and Handover

• Develop accurate as-built documentation, configuration records, and cable schedules.
• Conduct knowledge transfer and formal handover to operations teams.
• Prepare and secure required acceptance and sign-off documentation.

5. Deployment Support and Operational Readiness

• Troubleshoot integration and deployment issues.
• Support deployments across headquarters and country offices.
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Support post-deployment validation and stabilization.

6. Continuous Improvement

• Develop repeatable integration procedures and execution playbooks.
• Capture lessons learned to improve delivery efficiency and reduce avoidable costs.
• Support knowledge transfer from vendors to strengthen in-house capability.

Expected Deliverables :

• Operational AV/VC systems - Fully installed, integrated, tested, and ready for operational use.
• Commissioning and acceptance reports - Completed functional validation, signal-verification, interoperability, and acceptance records.
• As-built and configuration documentation - Current drawings, configuration records, cable schedules, and related technical records.
• Handover package - Knowledge-transfer materials, operational handover records, and formal sign-off documentation.
• RCA and corrective-action reports - Documented root causes, corrective actions, and post-deployment stabilization outcomes.
• Integration procedures and playbooks - Repeatable procedures and lessons learned that improve consistency and delivery efficiency.

Selection Criteria

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Master's degree with at least five years of relevant experience, or bachelor's degree with at least seven years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of five years of hands-on AV/VC integration and deployment experience.
• Demonstrated experience with installation, configuration, commissioning, and system handover.
• Strong working knowledge of AV platforms and technologies, including Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, and digital signal processing systems.
• Experience with unified communications platforms, including Microsoft Teams, Webex, and Zoom.
• Understanding of AV/network integration and system lifecycle execution.
• Experience working in multi-vendor technical environments.

Preferred Certifications and Knowledge

• AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist – Installation (CTS-I) certification is preferred.
• Knowledge of Agile and SAFe ways of working is preferred.

Performance and Acceptance of Services

• Services and deliverables will be reviewed against the approved design, defined technical requirements, applicable safety and quality standards, commissioning results, completion of required documentation, and formal operational acceptance. Specific assignment milestones, review arrangements, and approval authorities will be confirmed at the start of the engagement.
