Description
Corporate Content Officer in the Corporate and Institutional Communication Office of the Communication Department in the Director General’s Services Directorate.
Reporting to the Head of the Corporate and Institutional Communication Office, you will serve as the Lead Content Synthesizer, driving the development and timely delivery of high-impact corporate messaging across all internal and external ESA channels.
You will be instrumental in fostering strategic alignment between ESA Corporate Communication (DG-C) and the various Directorates to ensure a unified agency voice.
Duties
Your tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Optimize ESA-wide planning by supporting the Head of Office in developing and maintaining long- and short-term communication roadmaps, ensuring full alignment across all Directorate schedules.
- Direct corporate messaging by leading the development of "Lines to Take" (LTT) and core narratives to ensure a unified corporate voice across all channels, maximizing visibility and message accessibility.
- Curate high-impact storytelling by identifying and synthesizing cross-directorate narratives that align with ESA priorities, maintaining a comprehensive "master view" of upcoming news, milestones, and mission events.
- Manage the Agency’s "Corporate Assets" by developing and maintaining a centralized, ESA-wide reference hub containing harmonized narratives, corporate messaging, and supporting communication assets.
- Support the Head of Office in orchestrating the Communication Planning Board by acting as the relay with the Communication Programme Officers (CPOs) to facilitate a continuous, two-way flow of information and by fostering a collaborative environment among CPOs to identify cross-departmental storytelling opportunities.

Education and professional experience
A master's degree in a relevant domain is required for this post together with 8 years of relevant professional experience.
Additional requirements
Capacity to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines, flexibility to adapt to new and unforeseen demands, ability to manage challenging situations proactively and to be customer focused, availability to be on standby in specific crisis situations.
Strong problem-solving skills to deal with day-to-day operational challenges, together with demonstrated planning, organisational skills and strong result orientation.
Excellent editorial and writing skills are requested with capacity to synthetize complex topics into simple elements of language and lines to take (LTT)

In principle, recruitment will be within the advertised grade band (A2-A4). However, if the selected candidate has less than four years of relevant professional experience following the completion of the master’s degree, the position may be filled at A1 level.
During the recruitment process, the Agency may request applicants to undergo selection tests. Additionally, successful candidates will need to undergo basic screening before appointment, which will be conducted by an external background screening service, in compliance with the European Space Agency's security procedures.
