About the job:
Based in Mons, Belgium you will join the Agency as we embark on a journey to transform our IT services to support NATO’s Digital Endeavour. You will join the Chief Service Operation (CSO) that is accountable to plan, operate and maintain CIS services throughout the allocated Area of Responsibility. Moreover, CSO serves as signature authority for Agency orders involving deployment of staff and equipment to Operations and Exercises and is responsible for CIS operational situational awareness to the General Manager (GM) and Chief of Staff (COS) as well as exercises coordination authority for day-to-day in-service support across the Agency's portfolio.
We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Staff Officer (Exercises) who will take on the following roles and responsibilities:
·When tasked, represents NCIA in the Military Training Exercise Programme (MTEP) process, and acts as the NCIA central point of contact for SHAPE J7
·Participate in Exercise planning and coordination activities according to agreed Agency support
·Assumes the role of NCIA Officer Primary Responsible (OPR) in charge of coordinating the preparation, execution and analysis of exercises, both internally within NCIA and with external stakeholders (notably the CIS OPR of the exercise), unless assigned to another OE (mainly for local exercises; in this case, OE reports to OPEX Centre to ensure overall supervision of the exercises supported by NCIA).
Acts as Project Manager (PM) for those elements of support to exercises that are covered by a project initiated by a CR or equivalent i.e. above existing CIS support arrangements, unless assigned to another OE

About you:
The valuable knowledge and experience that you bring to this role are:
·A minimum requirement of a Bachelor's degree at a nationally recognized/certified University in a related discipline, mainly in CIS/ICT domain and 2-years post-related experience. Or, exceptionally, the lack of a university degree may be compensated by the demonstration of a candidate's particular abilities or experience that is/are of interest to NCIA, that is, at least 6-years extensive and progressive expertise in duties related to the function of the post.
·Staff Officer with CIS experience in a National or International HQ at divisional level or above are required
·Broad knowledge of planning/executing Exercises
·Experience with team management and training personnel
·Fluency in English, both written and spoken
