About this position

We are looking for a collaborative, user-centered, and proactive Digital Training & Adoption Consultant. As a Digital Training & Adoption Consultant, you will provide personalized, on-demand coaching to staff to help them apply digital tools to their day-to-day work, you will support coordination of training and development of material. You will work alongside colleagues to translate learning into practice, build confidence in using tools such as Copilot, Power BI, and Power Apps, and support a culture of curiosity and peer learning across the organization.

You will work in Technology and Transformation Department (TTD), in the Digital Transformation group. This group acts as the strategic function responsible for helping the IDB Group become an AI-enabled and digitally transformed organization.

What you’ll do

  • Design and deliver engaging training sessions that help staff apply digital tools effectively in their day-to-day work.
  • Coordinate and manage the logistics of training programs, including scheduling, communications, and participant support.
  • Provide personalized guidance through regular office hours and one-on-one support, helping staff use digital tools to solve real work challenges.
  • Deliver informal learning sessions, showcases, and demonstrations that highlight practical use cases, new features, and innovative solutions.
  • Create and maintain practical learning resources, job aids, guides, videos, and other materials that are easy to update and aligned with evolving business needs.
  • Proactively engage with teams and country offices to understand their needs, identify opportunities to improve ways of working through technology, and foster a culture of continuous learning and experimentation.
  • Monitor trends in user questions and support requests, identify common challenges and capability gaps, and provide recommendations to improve training and adoption efforts. Stay current on emerging technologies, product updates, and best practices to continuously enhance the learning experience.

What you'll need

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent advanced degree) in Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, Education, or other fields relevant to the responsibilities of the role.  
  • Experience: Atleast 2 years of progressive experience in roles involving direct user support, digital adoption, learning and development, or technology coaching. Prior experience in a multilateral, international, or culturally diverse organization is strongly preferred.
  • Additional Education/Experience: 1) Proficiency in AI and generative AI technologies, along with their potential applications; and 2) Extensive understanding of ethical considerations and responsible use of AI.
  • Languages:  Proficiency in Spanish and English, spoken and written, is required. Additional knowledge of French and Portuguese is preferable.

Type of contract and duration

International consultant Full-Time, 12 months (up to 48 months, subject to eligibility).
