 Contexte 

Le Niger fait face à une situation humanitaire complexe et multidimensionnelle. Dans plusieurs régions, les populations locales sont confrontées à des défis importants liés aux mouvements de population, aux tensions communautaires et aux dynamiques transfrontalières. La région de Diffa reste particulièrement affectée par les conséquences de la crise dans le bassin du lac Tchad. À Maradi, la présence d’environ 35 000 réfugiés s’ajoute aux difficultés engendrées par les flux migratoires en provenance du Nigeria. 

Ces réalités entraînent des déplacements forcés et des migrations à grande échelle, faisant du Niger à la fois un pays d’accueil et un point de transit vers le nord, notamment vers l’Algérie et la Libye. Selon l’Aperçu des besoins humanitaires (HNO) 2025, On estime que 2,6 millions de personnes ont des besoins dans 32 des 63 départements du pays, dont 1,6 million devraient bénéficier d’une assistance humanitaire en 2026. 

Dans ce contexte, le NRC, présent au Niger depuis 2019, s’efforce de répondre aux besoins des populations déplacées.

The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) Geneva leads NRC’s representation with the IASC and UN agencies, and coordinates donor engagement with the UN and Swiss donors.
