The Clinton Health Access Initiative, Inc. (CHAI) is a global health organization committed to our mission of saving lives and reducing the burden of disease in low-and middle-income countries. We work at the invitation of governments to support them and the private sector to create and sustain high-quality health systems.
CHAI was founded in 2002 in response to the HIV/AIDS epidemic, with the goal of dramatically reducing the price of life-saving drugs and increasing access to these medicines in the countries with the highest burden of the disease. Over the following two decades, CHAI has expanded its focus. Today, along with HIV, we work with our partners to prevent and treat infectious diseases such as COVID-19, malaria, tuberculosis, and hepatitis. Our work has also expanded into cancer, diabetes, hypertension, and other non-communicable diseases, and we work to accelerate the rollout of lifesaving vaccines, reduce maternal and child mortality, combat chronic malnutrition, and increase access to assistive technology. We are investing in horizontal approaches to strengthen health systems through programs in human resources for health, digital health, and health financing. With each new and innovative program, our strategy is grounded in maximizing sustainable impact at scale, ensuring that governments lead the solutions, that programs are designed to scale nationally, and learnings are shared globally.
At CHAI, our people are our greatest asset, and none of this work would be possible without their talent, time, dedication, and passion for our mission and values. We are a highly diverse team of enthusiastic individuals across 40 countries with a broad range of skill sets and life experiences. CHAI is deeply grounded in the countries we work in, with the majority of our staff based in program countries. Learn more about our exciting work: http://www.clintonhealthaccess.org

Global Talent Acquisition (TA) Team Overview
The Global Talent Acquisition (TA) team partners with hiring managers, program leadership, and country teams to identify, engage, and hire the people who help CHAI achieve its mission. The team supports full-cycle recruitment and sourcing across programs and country offices, using direct outreach, referrals, and internal candidates alongside job postings. Members of the team advise hiring managers on the talent market and the right approach for each search, and build inclusive, equitable practices into every step of the process. At CHAI, we work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment. Our teams are respectful, collaborative, and humble, and we hold ourselves to a high standard.
Position Overview
This is a specialist role at the centre of CHAI's talent acquisition function — dedicated to proactive sourcing, market intelligence and candidate engagement across CHAI's global hiring portfolio. Working in close partnership with recruiters, the focus is particularly on the more complex and niche searches where a deeper, more targeted approach is required.
The work combines hands-on sourcing with meaningful intelligence — researching candidates and markets, summarising findings for recruiters and hiring managers, and ensuring the right people are identified and engaged before a search gets underway.
The role requires both rigour and initiative in equal measure — someone who can build a compelling market briefing and engage a passive candidate with equal confidence, and who brings a high standard of care to every stage of the process.
- Work in close partnership with recruiters to develop and execute sourcing strategies across CHAI's global hiring portfolio, with a particular focus on complex and niche searches where required.
- Source and engage passive candidates directly — through LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean and targeted outreach — while also managing referrals from leaders and their teams and maintaining contact with alumni as an active sourcing channel.
- Build compelling market intelligence outputs — candidate and market maps, supply and demand analysis, and role-specific summaries — for recruiters and hiring managers before a search begins.
- Engage directly with passive candidates, building their interest in CHAI and bringing them into the process with an approach that is warm, informed and grounded in the CHAI mission.
- Build credible, well-researched long lists — sifting through large volumes of candidates with strong attention to detail and clear, consistent dispositioning at every stage.
- Use data and feedback to continuously refine outreach — adapting messages, channels, and follow-up approach based on what is working, and sharing successful approaches with the team.
- Make full use of CHAI's sourcing and TA technology stack, including AI-enabled tools, to find the right candidates faster and support a higher quality of search.
- Track and report on sourcing channel effectiveness, helping the team understand which approaches are delivering and where effort should be focused.
- Maintain accurate candidate and pipeline data in iCIMS, ensuring sourced candidates are tracked consistently and handed over to recruiters with full context.
- Solid experience in a sourcing or talent acquisition role with a strong focus on proactive, direct sourcing of passive candidates across a range of disciplines and geographies.
- Strong LinkedIn Recruiter skills and Boolean capability, with a track record of finding and engaging candidates who are not actively on the market.
- Experience building market intelligence outputs — candidate and market maps, supply and demand analyses and candidate briefings — that inform search strategy and hiring manager conversations.
- Comfortable working in close partnership with recruiters, contributing to searches without owning them end-to-end.
- Strong outreach and engagement skills — able to reach passive candidates in a way that is personalised, credible and compelling.
- High attention to detail when reviewing large volumes of candidates — able to disposition clearly and consistently with strong data integrity.
- A working knowledge of global health or international development sufficient to engage candidates credibly and represent CHAI's mission in outreach.
