The European Union Border Assistance Mission for the Rafah Crossing Point – EUBAM Rafah – was launched on 24 November 2005 to monitor the operations of the border crossing point between the Gaza Strip and Egypt, after Israel and the Palestinian Authority concluded an Agreement on Movement and Access on 15 November 2005. The Council of the European Union approved that the EU should undertake the third-party role proposed.

EUBAM Rafah is currently seeking dynamic, highly skilled candidates for immediate recruitment to fill the following Four (4) vacancies:

  1. MSDL 11 Procurement Officer (1 post): Provides procurement and contracting support to the Mission, ensuring compliance with applicable procurement rules and procedures. The position supports tendering, purchasing, contracting and related procurement administration, including coordination with relevant Mission units and stakeholders.
  2. MSDL 12 Driver – Fleet Operator (1 post): Provides transportation, vehicle and fleet support to Mission members and external officials, contributing to the safe and efficient operation of the Mission’s vehicles and related transport activities.
  3. MSDL 10 Logistics and Transport Assistant (1 post): Provides logistical and transport support to Mission staff, contributing to the effective management and distribution of Mission assets, supplies and transport resources.
  4. HoML 03 Press & Public Information Officer / Graphic Designer / Editor / Social Media (1 post): Supports the Mission’s press and public information activities through graphic design, photography, video production, editing and social media management, producing visual and audiovisual content to communicate the Mission’s mandate, activities and achievements to relevant audiences.

Employment regime:           Locally Contracted Staff hired under Israeli Local Labor Law

General employment/eligibility requirements: Education and professional experience, as well as proficiency in English, Arabic and Hebrew, as specified in the relevant Job Description; a valid identification document permitting employment and unrestricted movement within the Mission’s area of operations; medical fitness for work; and a clean criminal record.

IMPORTANT: Work is expected to be performed physically at the Mission offices in Ramat Gan, Monday through Friday. Candidates must be able to make the necessary arrangements to travel to and from the office premises on a daily basis. Applicants must hold a valid local identification document or work permit authorising employment at the Mission.
