Unit A.4 is the unit in charge of Information Technology implementation and IT governance in DG REGIO. The IT unit is responsible for the development, maintenance and support of IT tools specifically designed to support and facilitate the work of its colleagues across DG REGIO, and of the shared management family of DGs (AGRI, EMPL, HOME and MARE).

To that effect, the IT Unit achieves this by:

Developing, delivering and maintaining high-quality IT systems dedicated to REGIO and its partner DGs.

Providing reliable and effective data, AI and business reporting services to multiple DGs.

Ensuring quality user support, coaching, and training services.

Cooperating closely with partner DGs in compliance with the corporate IT Governance rules. |

| About the role (“We propose”) |
| # The IT Implementation and IT Governance Unit is seeking to hire a Production Coordinator to work in the Reporting, Data Analytics and AI Sector which is comprised of 3 statutory staff and around 20 external service providers.

The Sector manages the data warehouse, reporting and data services for the shared management DGs in close coordination with the DGs business managers. The data warehouse contains data from more than 20 IT sources, and it serves more than 1500 users.

To provide more value to the business by leveraging data, the unit is modernising its landscape of technologies and services across the ETL / data integration, database / data warehouse and reporting layers, in alignment with corporate guidelines and sovereignty. This includes the development of graphical interfaces and dashboards using Power BI, real time reporting,

continuous integration/delivery, containerisation, data analytics, prediction and AI (Python, deepset , OpenAI, AI@EC, ...).

Together with you statutory colleagues you will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating the production, maintenance and evolution for data warehouse, reporting, self-service analytics and delivery of AI solutions.
  • Define, propose and coordinate the training activities related to reporting, self-service analytics, AI and proficiency paths for power users.
  • Monitor Data Quality, monitor daily system health and suggest improvements.
  • Work with technical experts to coordinate allocation of resources, resolve bottlenecks and ensure smooth delivery process for business users
  • Improve integration and continuous delivery processes.
  • Be ready for hands-on development activities in the areas of reporting, data warehousing, AI and system integration (REST APIs etc)
  • Support and, when required, be able to step in for the Head of Sector in leading and managing the activities. | | Qualifications, experience and skills (“We look for”) | | We are looking for a service-oriented person with a strong aptitude for resource management and a keen, hands-on interest in data (reporting, data analytics, machine learning, artificial intelligence etc.) and data-quality. Knowledge in the area of data warehouse (SAP Business Objects, Apache Hop, Power BI) and practical experience in data quality techniques and automation will be an asset. Experience in IT development / service management will be an asset.

In addition, the jobholder should have:

  • A very good command of English (written and spoken). French will be an asset.
  • Very good task coordination and prioritisation skills and technical expert coordination are essential.
  • Strong teamwork abilities.
  • Autonomy and potential to develop skills and learn to work with AI and new technologies: Python, APIs, integration with AI systems, OVH/AWS/Azure cloud skills.
  • Able to take initiative when required and independent problem-solving experience.
  • Project management skills, PM2 certification is a plus.
  • Ability to manage parallel tasks and work with tight deadlines.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Power BI, GITLab and Dynatrace (in particular in encrypted environments).
  • Experience with reporting, self-service analytics and data quality development processes.
  • ITIL certification.
  • Very good knowledge around core data warehouse principles (Kimball, principles of normalisation and the normal forms, snowflake vs star schema) .
  • Proven track record in stakeholder management and/or coordination role (cohesion policy experience is an asset). | | How to express your interest?
