Description
We are looking for a highly competent and committed person for a 6-month
internship, starting in 11 January 2027 (or earlier if possible), to help us advance the Katapult vision for a world where our relationship with each other and with the planet is regenerated.
What Katapult Foundation does
We are a non-profit organisation supporting the living layer of the field of investing for systems change: the shared narratives, knowledge, tools and communities that allow capital to flow towards deep systems transformation. We are developing Systemic Philanthropy as a new funding pathway for this connective infrastructure. Over the past decade, we have convened Katapult Future Fest and incubated initiatives such as TWIST and the Coalition for Impact (C4i), always co-creating with close partners. The work you will focus on is highly diverse, and you will have the opportunity to take on different roles across our initiatives. You will join as a core member of a small and agile team. As part of the internship, you will get immersed in a variety of projects and partnerships.
Some of your tasks might include:
● Co-creation of tools and methodologies that advance the field of investing for systems change
● Research and writing on topics such as systemic philanthropy, investing for
systems change, AI for society, narratives for regeneration, etc.
● External communications:
○ Weekly LinkedIn posts;
○ Website revamp.
● Event organisation: Katapult Future Fest 2027
● Day-to-day operational support:
○ Support in the coordination of meetings and follow-up;
○ Team admin.
What we are looking for:
● Native or fluent English
● Systems thinking
● A sense of purpose and commitment to regenerative approaches
● Self-drive, proactiveness and ability to find entrepreneurial solutions
● Organisational skills: practical and operationally capable
● Ability to commit to 6 hours of work daily for a period of 6 months
● Eligibility for Erasmus funding
Other highly valued contributions:
● Excellent research skills
● Background in or deeper understanding of impact/systemic investing
● Experience in facilitation and leading group discussions or workshops
● Real passion and drive for this work. Keenness to learn and develop, complete
extra courses and attend events
● Ability to use AI tools, such as Claude, to effectively enhance workflow
● Graphic design and a sense of how to make documents and websites look
pretty (a bonus!)
You can find out more about our work on our website and LinkedIn page.
How to apply
Please complete this application form by 15 November 2026.
Please, before submitting an application, review our website and LinkedIn in detail and make sure your application demonstrates well your understanding of Katapult Foundation and why, in particular, you are interested in an internship with us. Please apply only if you are truly interested and committed. Generic applications will be automatically rejected.
With this application form, we would like to meet your true self, rather than AI-generated answers. This is why we ask you to share your answers in video format answering the 4 questions in Section 2 (also outlined below). You may either record one single video answering all of the questions below, or record a separate video for each question.
● If recording one single video: you must clearly indicate each question in
writing as you move to it, with a title slide, text overlay or on-screen subtitle. A
spoken introduction alone (e.g. "Next, question 2...") is not sufficient; it must
be written on the screen.
● If recording separate videos: no in-video labelling is needed. Just name each
video file/link clearly so we know which question it answers (e.g. "Question 1",
"Question 2").
● Answer each question in no more than 2 minutes. Please be concise and go
straight to the point.
● Please make sure to provide an accessible link to the video(s) in the text box.
Each link's share settings should be set to 'Anyone with the link can view' so
we can access them!
Questions to answer in your video(s):
1. Why are you interested in working with Katapult Foundation?
2. What is your relevant experience in the field of systems thinking and systems
change?
3. What is one systems thinking resource (book/podcast/article, etc.) which you
have found particularly influential for your learning and practice? Why?
4. Having reviewed Katapult Foundation's website and LinkedIn page, what of
our work do you connect with the most?
