Aim:
 We are looking for three highly motivated and qualified individuals to have overall responsibility of maintenance, establishment and development of local implementing partners for the delivery of DRC’s activities.

Who are we?

 Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is an International non-governmental organisation, which promotes and supports durable solutions to the problems faced by refugees and internally displaced people worldwide. DRC has been operating in Turkey since early 2013, working with by and large with non-camp Syrian refugees and affected host communities. DRC Turkey program, headquartered in Antakya, have more than 250 employees – based at the DRC offices located in SanliUrfa, Hatay, Kilis and Karaman-marash. DRC also works with partners in Sanliurfa, Izmir and Bodrum.

The country funding for 2016 is between USD 12 and 15 million, funded by DANIDA, ECHO, UNHCR, UNICEF, and PRM.

About the job 
 
The Partnership Development Manager is responsible for maintaining and developing existing local partnerships whilst identifying new organizations to work with, as per program needs. S/he will manage assessments as per DRC standards of due diligence, contractual aspects, monitoring of the partnership as well as develop capacity building plans and ensure smooth flow of information between various departments concerned by partners’ work.  
 
 Duties and Responsibilities
 
  • Liaise with and support Programme Managers in the identification of potential partners and contact initiation. Lead –in coordination withPMs and Heads of Office- on conducting introductory meetings with potential partners to introduce them to DRC’s programs and work.
  •  Responsible for coordinating and finalizing partnership assessments with DRC standard tool in link with all relevant departments (Program, Finance, HR, Logistics)
  • Focal point for the development of partner’s proposals (collecting and analysing partners’ narrative inputs and budgets) and liaise with relevant program team to ensure relevance
  • Responsible for finalizing all partnership documents (MoU/contract, project documents etc.). Maintain and ensure proper filing of partner related documents and coordinate with Finance and Programs on partner agreements filing and maintenance.
  • Responsible of organizing briefing/trainings on DRC operating procedures, tools and donor requirements, in collaboration with Finance team (especially at the beginning of the partnership)
  • Responsible of ensuring partnership management within the grant lifetime (proposal, revisions, reporting, instalments).
  • Lead and advice –in close coordination with Head of Programs- on the development of a DRC Turkey’s partnership strategy, in compliance with CHS standards and DRC strategy and planning documents (Country Action Plan, Result Contract Framework). Insure strategy is up to date and caught up on trends and innovation in partnership practices.
  • Identify areas for improvement and design and follow up a capacity building plan throughout the partnership’s duration for partners and DRC staff in the field offices.
  • Conduct regular monitoring visits to partners field offices/areas of operation to identify challenges and elaborate solutions.
  • This position will require frequent travels to partners’ operational areas in Turkey.
 About you
  To be successful in this role you must have:
  • University degree or higher education relevant to human rights: preferably in law, social sciences or humanitarian aid
  •  At least 5 years of relevant professional experience with a Humanitarian Aid organization, with at least three years in partnership management and in operations (in emergency or development contexts) conducted entirely or partly through implementing partners
  •  Min. 3 year experience in proposal writing and reporting, including logical framework approach (design and development, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation)
  • Experience in analyzing and reviewing proposal documents
  • Experience in preparation and review of agreements and contracts, and their administration;
  •  Ability to manage budgets and review financial reports;
  •  Experience in preparing and conducting training's to local organizations.
  • Fluency in the English language, both written and verbal.
  • Above average computer literacy;

Desirable qualifications
  • An understanding of humanitarian/civil society issues in Turkey and the region
  •  Experience working with Syrian refugees in the MENA region
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to establish effective and team and external relations.
  • Arabic/Turkish language proficiency. 
 We offer
 
DRC will offer the successful applicants, a nine months contract, and renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work as soon as possible.
