PSP Officer (LG/Account Manager)

ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT

The incumbent is responsible for the coordination and implementation of the partnership with UNIQLO and other key PSP accounts as requested. Acting as the principle account manager for this UNHCR global relationship the incumbent will be based in Japan and include overall strategic direction, relationship management and oversight for global activities in collaboration with a range of stakeholders. The incumbent will establish superior working relationships internally with key stakeholders in UNHCR and externally with UNIQLO and relevant organizations and influencers. Besides the overall strategic direction and coordination the incumbent will directly manage aspects of the relationship including the financial / legal activities needed to operationalize the partnership. These activities will be by en large outside of Japan coordinated with UNHCR staff including UNHCR¿s Office Tokyo and span the coordination of the programmatic, fundraising and advocacy initiatives as per defined annual plans.  The incumbent will supervise any related UNHCR PSP funded support staff based in Tokyo.

The incumbent is a member of the PSP LG team and line managed by the Senior FR Officer (Corporate Relations) in Copenhagen.

Account management and stakeholder coordination will aspire to deliver the maximum value to UNHCR while remaining aligned with PSP's operational processes, policies and PSP¿s LG strategy.  The incumbent will work closely and in collaboration with other internal UNHCR stakeholders which includes but is not limited to UNHCR's Branch Office in Tokyo, PSP Project Support, PSP Communications and DPSM Livelihoods team to develop and deliver the various aspects of the partnership.

The PSP Officer (LG/Account Manager) will play a crucial role in the coordination of accounts, securing up to date information and sharing it across multiple stakeholders within UNCHR and with partners. The incumbent also is responsible to guide the creation of new initiatives often in consultation with UNHCR stakeholders. As the principle interface between UNIQLO and UNHCR the incumbent helps relevant information flow and negotiates directly with the UNIQLO and works actively if needed to defuse or address conflicts or misunderstanding with the partner or UNCHR stakeholder(s).

FUNCTIONAL STATEMENT

Accountability
- Increased value is generated through various sources including income, in-kind and raising brand awareness and advocating for the refugee cause.
- Stewardship of relationship with the renewal and expansion of current initiatives over time is successful.
- The Key Account is linked to other initiatives in UNHCR, e.g. support of World Refugee Day.
- Annual Leadership Giving income target is achieved according to agreed annual budget and plan.
- Key Account information is up to date and available for sharing amongst UNHCR stakeholders.
- High level of client satisfaction and the creation of trusting relationships are achieved.

Responsibility
- Develop and provide annual plan details, including projected income and budget for the Key Account.
- Maintain oversight of the submission of  proposals to donors and earmarking requests and ensure these are aligned to PSP priorities.
- Prepare required agreements and coordinate the signature working with the UNIQLO CSR team and UNHCR stakeholders.
- Manage Key Account according to PSP policies and procedures.
- Coordinate Key Account's financial support to appropriate UNHCR programming needs.  This includes interacting with the PSP project support role and DPSM via established procedures.
- Oversee of programme reporting to assure quality standards and funding requirements are met. 
- Present the reports as per schedule and coordinate the revision or follow up as needed.
- Support the PSP LG GIK Coordinator.
- Manage and coordinate field missions.
- Provide information, documentation and briefing material.
- Archive and make available to UNHCR stakeholders.
- Maintain account information database up to date, available and accurate for all aspects of relationship.
- Supervise staff contracted to support global initiatives based in Tokyo.
- Produce and/or coordinate, with support from communication colleagues, the updates and relevant communication materials intended for publication and briefings.  This includes material for both internal and external communication requirements with stakeholder from across UNHCR.
- Provide, participate or facilitate any capacity building required.
- Support the working group by providing secretariat support to ensure that outcomes of the working group and related information is disseminated.
- Develop the annual budget and plan with internal and external stakeholders.
- Deliver programming outcomes by planning work with PSP PSU and DPSM Livelihood Officers with annual planning and ongoing monitoring. 
- Perform other duties as required.

Authority
- Hold UNHCR stakeholder accountable for planned commitments.
- Design and execute plan including anticipated programs and emergencies funded initiatives.
- Create new initiatives and scale current work and monitor against plan.

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- A university degree in Business/Marketing, Social Sciences or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8years¿ previous relevant work experience (6 years with an advanced university degree) with at least 5 years international private sector fundraising experience in a not-for-profit organisation or an international organisation.
- Studies in fundraising, corporate social responsibility, partnership brokering and participation in local, regional and global events related to said topics.
- Experience with developing and implementing private sector fundraising plans and budgets.
- Experience managing partnerships with internal and external stakeholders for fundraising and programmatic outcomes.
- Proven ability to meet 6 figure USD targets and secure corporate and foundation partnerships.
- Demonstrated skills to create additional value from corporate and or foundation partnerships managed under his/her direct supervision.
- Proven experience in managing high level meetings in combination with excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Proven ability in understanding how to reconcile the needs of the organization with those of the partner including the resolution of conflict.
- Proven experience with organizing and managing donor field missions.
- Experience in supporting the communication needs of a corporate partnership.
- Experience with facilitating workshops, training and coaching staff.
- Proven ability to write, draft, and edit letters, proposals, appeals, reports, acknowledgements, briefings, and donor correspondence when appropriate and ability to explain complex issues to external donors and present the organization and diverse operations in an appealing and concise manner. 
- Flexible working hours to accommodate global conference calls and stakeholders working in different time zones. 
- Excellent knowledge of English and Japanese (written/oral/comprehension).

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
- Experience fundraising with corporations, foundation and other relationship in the Asia context.
- Experience of working within the UN system, ideally UNHCR either in a field operation or in a fundraising position.
- Experience in corporate social responsibility, multi stakeholder partnerships, emergency and programmatic fundraising in a humanitarian organisation.
- Experience in account management and capacity to balance the needs of all stakeholder to achieve mutual benefit.
- Experience engaging with corporations to evaluate and match their corporate social responsibility programs and corporate recognition programs to UNHCR's value proposition.
- Experience working as a partnership brokers capable of building trust, facilitate constructive dialogue, designing and implementing processes that build long term relationships of mutual benefit.
- Excellent computer skills with particular reference to Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Customer service attitude that actively finds solutions for stakeholders with a willing and cheerful disposition.
- Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
