The Norwegian Refugee Council has approximately 5000 committed and competent employees involved in projects across four continents. In addition, NRC runs one of the world’s largest standby rosters -NORCAP, with 650 professionals, ready to be deployed on 72 hours notice when a crisis occurs
Job description
- Line management for support staff such as Finance, HR & Admin and Logistics/ICT in Luhansk oblast.
- Member of the Area Management Team.
- Compliance with and adherence to NRC policies, guidance and handbooks and donor/auditor requirements.
- Provide input on operational support to Area Plan of Action, and to coordinate and align operational support with programme plans at Area level.
- Responsible for ensuring quality support to project implementation.
- Facilitate the design of Master budget (Area Support Budget, area level budgets, including support cost).
- Responsible for develop regular reports on Area level to Country Office and AM.
- Responsible for implementation of new country specific technical SOPs, guidelines and tools in the Area (HR, Logistic/ICT, Finance and Security).
- Facilitate trainings for of programme staff on financial, logistic and HR procedures and control.
- Responsible for technical capacity building of support staff (HR, Logistic/ICT and Finance).
- To organize weekly coordination meetings with the Area Management Team and to provide weekly reports.
- To provide regular follow up on internal/external audit conclusions.
- To provide regular due diligence on procurement/finance/HR/admin processes.
Qualifications
- Min 2 years of experience as Support Manager /Head of Support function.
- Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities.
- Knowledge about own leadership skills/profile.
- Fluency in English and Russian, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of the context in Ukraine.
- Ukrainian citizens only.
- Experience with start-ups would be a plus.
